
Samsung Electronics has announced their newest 3rd generation High Bandwidth Memory 2E (HBM2E) called the Flashbolt. It is a successor to the 2nd generation Aquabolt with double the capacity at 16GB and higher stable transfer speeds at 3.2Gbps.

FINGERS, a digital accessories manufacturer, has launched their new portable speaker called the SuperLit, which features RGB lights in front of its drivers. The speaker connects via Bluetooth 5.0, stereo performance,TWS technology and a variety of other inputs.

The Apple TV+ app was announced in March of 2019, claiming that it will offer support on LG and other TV’s later in the future along with Airplay 2 support. Now with an OTA update, the Apple TV, Apple TV+ and Airplay 2 in now available on select 2019 LG TVs.

Google’s parent company, Alphabet has released its earnings report for the fourth quarter of 2019, including the fiscal year of 2019. They posted a growth of 17% in Q4 compared to last year with approx $46 billion in revenue. For the entire year, Alphabet reported $162 billion in total revenue, up 18% year over year and up 20% on a constant currency basis.

Twitter has been testing out redesigns of its feed in regards to replies to a tweet for a few months now. Today they announced that they are ready to roll out an update that will make conversations easier to follow with the new layout.

As all countries in the world are on high alert to halt the spread of Wuhan Coronavirus, the many industries that are based in China have begun to see the effects of the outbreak. Microsoft Xbox has announced a new bug bounty program in an attempt to use the public’s help to identify critical bugs in the Xbox software ecosystem. The bounties will be decided according to the severity of the bug, its security impact and the quality of report submitted by the researcher (bounty hunter).

The tablet market continues to suffer as the global shipments in Q4 2019 dropped to 43.5 million units, marking a decline of 0.6% compared to Q4 last year. Apple continues to lead the market with its highly successful iPad series with Samsung, HUAWEI, Amazon.com and Lenovo taking the next 4 spots in global shipments and market share.

Popular Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has released a report that has some interesting plans for Apple in the first half of 2020. The report claims Apple will release several new products including Ultra Wideband tags, high-end wireless headphones, a 4.7-inch iPhone SE successor, refreshed iPad Pro models, and refreshed MacBook Pro and/or MacBook Air models.

In this year’s biggest jury verdict from this year, Apple Inc. and Broadcom Inc. have been ordered by a California Court to pay a collective $1.1 billion in damages for patent infringement. The plaintiff in this case is California Institute of Technology (Cal Tech.) who claimed that Apple broke patent laws by using Broadcom Wi-Fi chips in their devices.

Unicode, which is the international consortium that dictates computing industry standards has released its Emoji 13.0 standard for the year 2020. It includes 117 new emoji such as a smiling face with tear, Polar bear, a pinched finger, including 55 gender and skin-tone variants.

Facebook has reported a good year for 2019 as it released its Q4 2019 earnings report. The total earnings posted for this quarter was $21082 million which amounts to a YoY growth of about 24.64% from Q4 2018. The net income on the other hand, was reported at $7349 million which calculates to an increase of approx. 6.78% YoY.
