Sony just teased the launch of Xperia XA Ultra smartphone in India on Monday, July 25th on its social channels. The teaser just says “Your perfect Selfie companion, with OIS” along with the image of the smartphone with large front camera with LED flash. Sony Xperia F8331 with 1080p display, Snapdragon 820 surfaces in live images

Sony’s upcoming high-end Xperia smartphone with model numbers F8331 and F8332 had already surfaced in User Agent profile. Now live images of the phone has surfaced, thanks to GSMArena. Specifications of the smartphone have also surfaced on GFXBench that reveal almost similar specifications as the Xperia X Performance. Sony Mobile to defocus on India, China and US

Sony has announced at its IR Day 2016 in Japan that it will defocus in several markets including China, India, US and Brazil where it expects its smartphone businesses to shrink. One of the main reasons is that it expects FY15-17 CAGR smartphone growth in India, China, Brazil, Indonesia to be just 0.3%, instead of increase in 8.1% that was estimated last year.

Sony launched the Xperia X and Xperia XA in the latest ‘X Series’ in India last month. The Xperia X went on sale from June 7th. Now the Xperia XA is also available in the country. Following the end of the Sony Ericsson brand, Sony took a hiatus of almost a year before entering the market again under a solo name. Sony went all out with the Xperia Z and brought about a fresh new design language and high end specifications. Although waterproof smartphones were a common sight in the east in Japan, there were less than a handful of phones that featured waterproof abilities worldwide and almost none of them were made for the masses.

Sony confirms new PlayStation 4 with 4K support, faster processor and improved graphics

Sony has confirmed that it is working on the next-generation PlayStation console, which is an upgraded version of the PlayStation 4. This was confirmed by Andrew House, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment in an interview with the Financial Times. This will supposedly be called the PlayStation 4 Neo, which will have a faster processor, improved graphics and also support for 4K content. Sony introduced USB flash drive in the USM-CA1 Series with USB Type-C and Type-A connectors earlier this year. Today it has launched the OTG drive in India. The USB Type-C reversible drive lets you connect it to smartphones, tablets, laptops and more. The drives also supports USB 3.1 Gen1, which allows for data transfer speeds (read) of upto 130MB/s. Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA launched in India for Rs. 48990 and Rs. 20990

Sony has launched Xperia X and Xperia XA, the company’s latest smartphone in the new ‘X Series’ in India. Both these were announced at the MWC earlier this year. The Xperia X has a 5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 SoC, has a fingerprint sensors on the power button and a 23-megapixel rear camera with Predictive Hybrid Autofocus that lets you choose your subject and then predicts its motion.
