Huawei’s Honor brand today scheduled an event on June 6th in Beijing where it will introduce it new Honor Play series smartphones with AI capabilities. The company says that it will have a breakthrough technology. It will also introduce new Honor 9i smartphone (not to be confused with the Honor 9i that was launched in India last year).
Huawei is busy prepping to launch the MediaPad M5 tablet as the device is now spotted passing through the FCC. According to the FCC listing, it sports an 8-inches display, support for eSIM. The tablet has passed through the FCC Huawei MediaPad M5 wp; the WP might stand for WaterPlay so, it might be introduced as Huawei MediaPad M5 WaterPlay. It has partnered with OneAssist, ubiquitous platform for assistance and protection programs to provide these plans to consumers in India. Huawei’s Honor brand confirmed Android Oreo update to several devices including the Honor 7X recently. It even started beta testing the Oreo update for the phone in March, before the stable roll out. Huawei’s Honor brand just launched the Honor 7A and Honor 7C , the company’s latest budget smartphones in the ‘7 series’ in India, as it had promised. Both the phones have a 5.7-inch and 5.99-inch 18:9 FullView 2.5D curved glass displays, respectively, come with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portrait shots. Flipkart has confirmed that Honor 7A will also launch in India alongside the Honor 7C next Tuesday. It was introduced in China last month at 799 yuan (US$ 126 / Rs. 8,250 approx.) for the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage version with single rear camera and 999 yuan (US$ 158 / Rs. 10,315 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB version with dual rear cameras. Flipkart has once again confirmed that the phone will go on sale starting midnight on May 16 2018, a day after the launch. Honor is also offering live stream of the event starting from 2PM BST (6:30 PM IST) on May 15th.
After the introduction of Honor 7A last month, Huawei’s Honor brand is all set to introduce the Honor 7S smartphone in China as well as Europe soon.
