After successfully launching 4G LTE in Kerala, Mysore, Kolkata and Delhi & NCR, Vodafone is all set to launch its 4G services in Mumbai on February 10th, Wednesday. According to ET, it will launch its 4G services in Bengaluru on February 11th, Thursday. Idea Cellular has launched its 4G LTE services across 12 towns in Orissa, after it launched 4G services in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Punjab regions. It launched 4G services across five states in South India – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana in December last year. Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Delhi and NCR, as it had promised last week, after launching it in Kerala, Mysore and Kolkata. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. Vodafone said that it is now available in prominent business and residential corridors of Guragon, and the the roll out will be completed in all parts of Delhi & NCR in phased manner. Google already offers internet to places who have low or no internet access via it’s Project Loon. Now, the tech giant is working on a new project dubbed as Project SkyBender under which it is planning to beam 5G internet from solar drones, as per a latest report from The Guardian.

Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Kolkata after a month of launching its 4G services in Kerala. It was launched in Mysore earlier this month. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3 and is built on a strong fibre backhaul. Vodafone 4G is available in BBD Bag, Park Street, Alipore, Ballygunge, Salt Lake Sector 5, Airport and EM bypass in the circle and the roll-out will be completed across all parts of Kolkata by June 2016 in a phased manner. Airtel has commercially launched its 4G LTE services in Kochi in Manjeri, Tirurangadi & Thalaserry in Kerala. With this Airtel 4G is now present in 50 towns in Kerala. It launched 4G services in 296 towns across India earlier back in August last year. It was launched in Kochi in the same month and in Thiruvananthapuram in September. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Vodafone has started offering 4G-ready SIM cards in Delhi & NCR region through Vodafone stores, ahead of 4G roll out in the circle. It will be based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. Back in October last year it promised to roll out 4G services in Delhi/NCR region by December, but it got delayed. Idea today launched its 4G LTE services across four more states or three telecom circles – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Punjab, three weeks after it launched 4G services across five states in South India – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Idea said that its 4G LTE services will be available across 183 towns in these circles by 31st January 2016. It also said that it has received over 1.5 million 4G service requests from existing customers on its pre-book offer. A new report from China states that the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has started research and testing of the 5G technology.

Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Mysore (Mysuru), Karnataka after a month of launching its 4G services in Kerala. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. “It is built on a strong fibre back-haul, and is supported by new and superfast 3G services on a modern network of 2100 MHz,” said the company.
