Soon after the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) announcement from Google, Sony Mobile confirmed that it will update the entire Xperia Z series of smartphones and tablets to Android Lollipop. Kodak has announced IM5, the company’s latest Android smartphone built by Bullitt Group, as promised at the CES, but it is not a camera-centric smartphone and has only 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is upgradable to Android Lollipop later this year. HTC has unveiled the Desire 826, the company’s latest phablet at the CES 2015 as expected. It has the 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, compared to HD display on Desire 816 and Desire 820, but this is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor ( four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz per core and four clocked at 1.0 GHz) and has Adreno 405 GPU, similar to the Desire 820. ZTE has announced Spro 2, the company’s latest smart projector running Android 4.4 (Kit Kat) at the CES. It also has a built-in 4G LTE hotspot that lets you share it with 8 other devices. It is powered by Snapdragon 800 SoC, can project up to 120” in size at 200 lumens of brightness with auto focus up to 720p.
