HTC officially launched the Desire 600 Dual SIM last week. Here we have the device for unboxing. It is the first phone from HTC with GSM support to feature Dual Active SIM support that allows you to have two SIM cards active all the times, enabling you to receive a call on first SIM, even if you are already using the other. Since this is a Dual SIM Active device you don’t need any setup like the Samsung’s Smart Dual SIM feature.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra launched in India for Rs. 46990

Sony has officially launched the Xperia Z Ultra, the company’s latest smartphones in the Xperia series. Sony unveiled the Z Ultra last month and it went on sale in India online last week. The Xperia Z Ultra has a 6.44-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with with X-Reality engine, powered by 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Smart Namo is an Android smartphone that is expected to arrive by September and it is named after Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Narendra Modi. Namo is an independent body of fans of Mr. Modi. The term Namo in the phone’s name stands for Next-generation Android Mobile Odyssey and it also a combination of the first two letters of Narendra Modi.

Lava is all set to release two new budget smartphones in the Iris range, the Iris 356 and the Iris 402. Both these smartphones are listed on the official website and packs decent specs for the price. The Iris 356 has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) display and the the Iris 402 packs a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display. Both these devices are powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). These have 3G support, Dual SIM with dual standby, rear and front-facing cameras. Vodafone offers free access to Twitter for Android and Mobile Web for 3 months

Vodafone India has partnered with Twitter India to offer access to Twitter for Android app and mobile.twitter.com free of any mobile charges for three months without any data pack. Twitter will promote the ‘no mobile internet charges’ experience on Vodafone by clearly prompting and informing the customer on the applicable charges, especially when they are accessing links via their Twitter timeline and elsewhere on Twitter’s network. Micromax Bling 3 A86 now available for Rs. 9599

Micromax Bing 3 A86 that surfaced last week is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. The Bling 3 is the 3rd phone in the Bling series Bling phone that was launched back in 2010 and Bling 2 A55 that was launched in 2011. The Bling 3 has Swarovski Zirconia crystals similar to the other Bling phones. It has 4-inch touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Karbonn A1 Star and A5 Star now available for Rs. 3514 and Rs. 4890

Karbonn A1 Star and the A5 Star, new budget Dual SIM Android smartphones are now available through online retailers Saholic and Flipkart. These are the successors of the Karbonn A1 and the Karbonn A5. The Karbonn A1 was launched back in 2011 and the A5 was launched last year. The A1 Star and the A5 Star have 3.5 inch and 3.2-inch display at HVGA resolution. Both these phones are powered by a 1 GHz processor. The A1 Star runs on Android 4.0 ICS, while the A5 Star runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Both these have Dual SIM support, rear and front-facing cameras. Intex had launched several Android smartphones in the Aqua series last year and earlier this year. It launched the Aqua Wonder quad-core, the company’s first quad-core smartphone back in April. The Aqua I-5 that was launched last month is their flagship Android smartphone with a 5-inch qHD display. We brought you the unboxing and the benchmarks recently. Samsung Galaxy Note 510 Review

Samsung has been enabling its tablets with calling functionality ever since the first ever non-Apple tablet released, the company’s own Galaxy Tab. While the original Galaxy Tab didn’t have an ear piece to enable phone-like calling, it did have the support. Tab 2 310, its successor on the other hand had an ear piece to let people use it like a phone. Various other manufacturers then warmed up to this idea and released their own calling tablet much to the critics’ ridicule, but a market was definitely there. On that note, Samsung launched the Note 8.0 at the Mobile World Congress this year, and introduced a WiFi as well as a cellular version with calling.

We had reviewed the WiFi version earlier and now we are going to see how the cellular version is different and what its extra features are. Is the calling version really that useful on a 8 inch tablet? Lets find out.

Intex Technologies has launched the Cloud X3, the company’s latest entry-level Android smartphone. It has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, dual SIM support and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Intex has partnered with MediaTek for the launch and the smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 chip that has integrated Wi-Fi, FM, GPS and Bluetooth. Asus Fonepad with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor, 32GB internal storage now available in India for Rs. 17999

Asus launched the Fonepad in India with 3G data support and voice calling capabilities back in April. Later the Fonepad was upgraded with a more powerful processor and 32GB internal storage in May. Now the new Fonepad is available from online retailer Flipkart. Apart from the processor and the internal memory, the new Fonepad has similar features including a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, 3-megapixel auto focus rear camera with 720p HD video recording, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Aircel partners with Wikimedia Foundation to offer free Wikipedia access on mobile phones

Aircel has tied up with Wikimedia Foundation to offer free access to Wikipedia on mobile phones for their customers. This is the first service of its kind to formally launch in India. This lets you browse Wikipedia website (m.wikipedia.org) on any internet enabled mobile phone without any data charges. This is a part of Wikimedia Foundation’s Wikipedia Zero program, to enable mobile access, free of data charges, to Wikipedia to billions of people around the world, especially in developing countries. Google unveiled the new Nexus 7 few hours back. The Nexus 7 comes in 3 variants, 16GB WiFi, 32GB WiFi and 32GB 4GLTE. Google announced that the WiFi version of the Nexus 7 (2013) would go on sale first in the U.S starting from July 30th over Google Play and several local retailers. It also announced that the Asus-made Nexus 7 tablet would be available United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Spain, France, Japan, Korea, and Australia in the coming week with other countries to follow soon after. Even though they did not announce what these countries the New Nexus 7 page is live for several countries including India that reveals that the tablet would eventually launch here. HTC has official launched Desire 600 Dual SIM in India. It was announced back in May and went on sale in India earlier this month. It has a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) pixels super LCD2 display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8625Q processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) . It has a 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor.
