BlackBerry India has sent out invites for the launch of a new smartphone on August 1st. The company has also released a teaser video for the phone on its social channels that hints at the launch of KEYone with 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080 pixels) display with 3:2 aspect ratio, 4-row QWERTY physical backlit keyboard with keys that respond to touch gestures anda fingerprint sensor built into the spacebar.

The company has several smartphones including phones with dual rear cameras, and it plans to bring 3 or 4 smartphones to India first, but it is not clear what phones the company is planning to launch next month. The Indian smartphone market contracted for the first time in its history, as shipments to the country fell 4% year on year to just under 27 million units in Q2 2017, according to the latest report from Canalys.
Axis Bank has agreed to acquire mobile payments wallet provider FreeCharge from e-commerce company Snapdeal for Rs. 385 crore. The latest deal comes just a day after Snapdeal board approved Flipkart’s $900- $950 million buyout offer.

Snapdeal has accepted Flipkart’s revised $900-950 million buyout offer, according to a latest report from Reuters. Citing two sources, Reuters stated that the board of Jasper Infotech, which runs Snapdeal, approved Flipkart’s bid of $900 million-$950 million last week.
