Lava just launched the Agni 5G, the company’s first 5G smartphone that is made and designed in India, as announced. It has a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate, 91.7% screen-to-body ratio and an 16-megapixel camera inside the punch-hole. According to a report by Counterpoint Research, the Indian TWS market recorded strong numbers during the third quarter of 2021. The market reportedly grew by 55% YoY in terms of shipments, and the top 5 manufacturers were boAt, realme, Noise, Apple and Boult Audio.
SpaceX, the American aerospace manufacturer, has announced the registration and opening of their India-based subsidiary of Starlink satellite-based internet company. Starlink also revealed their plans to launch nearly 2 lakh active user terminals by the end of 2022 to start operations.
As part of the ongoing 5G trials in India, Vodafone Idea said that it has partnered with Ericsson to trial 5G use cases in healthcare sector in remote parts of the country. Vi has been allocated 26 GHz mmWave band by the DoT, along with the traditional 3.5 GHz spectrum band in Pune, for 5G network trials.
