Google will stop labelling games with in app purchases as free. The move comes from the company after pressure from the EU. Starting in late September, games will no longer be termed as free if they include in-app purchases and that it will also require payment verification before each purchase.

Nvidia is working on a Android-based gaming console, according to a report from BBC. The un-named device will run on the company’s flagship Tegra K1 mobile chip that was announced in January this year.

A week after updating the Angry Birds seasons and Angry Birds Go!, Rovio has updated the Angry Birds Star Wars II with 30 new levels in the Master Your Destiny episode. In this episode, you play Jedi Youngling or Sith Hopeful and rise the ranks. You can choose to be bird or pig from your saved characters or by scanning your Telepods. After teasing the next iteration of the Modern Combat for over an year, Gameloft has finally announced that it would launch the Modern Combat 5: Blackout on July 24th. Recently Gamelof announced that the game would have a unified game progression for both single and multiplayer games and four soldier classes. It also revealed the teaser trailer of the game ahead of E3 2014. This would bring innovative new features and mechanics. Flappy Bird, the popular mobile gaming sensation that took the world by storm was taken down by the creator in February this year. However, in May there were reports that the game is making is way back in August with multiplayer capabilities. In the meantime clones of the game that was fetching $50,000 a day through Ad revenue were adding on the app stores.

It also has three bonus ones, each packed with relics, artifacts and pesky piggies. Name of the Super Seeds power-up has been changed to Power Potion. Disney has tied up with Japan’s LINE Corporation to launch the popular Disney Tsum Tsum puzzle game globally. This was published by LINE in Japan last year and holds the number 1 free app spot on both iOS and Android in Japan. Disney has also launched stackable Tsum Tsum toys in select stores in North America and at Disney Parks. Last year Gameloft teamed up with LINE to launch LINE Let’s Golf game. Rovio, creators of popular Angry Birds game has announced Angry Birds Transformers, their new game in the Angry Birds franchise. It will have new story and characters, in which the characters split into Autobirds and Deceptihogs. Rovio is also teaming up with Hasbro for Telepods similar to Angry Birds Star Wars and Angry Birds Go!, which will let you teleport your favorite character into the game. After a soft launch of the iOS version of the game in a few countries, Rovio has released the Angry Birds Epic for iOS more widely and the game is also available for Android and Windows Phone devices. The gameplay is set in a fantasy version of the Piggy island where users enjoy themselves in an adventure role-playing game. After the successful Amazing Spider-Man 2 game, Gameloft has teamed up with Marvel once again for Spider-Man: Unlimited game. It would be a web-runner inspired by 50 years of Spider-Man comics. It is an episodic adventure that would offer a narrative runner experience. It would have swinging, running, and fighting, similar to the comics. Square Enix released Hitman Go for Android yesterday, couple of months after releasing it for the iOS. Today the company has announced a new game called Hitman: Sniper. This would be a competitive sniping game, almost similar to the Hitman: Sniper Challenge developed by Io-Interactive, unlike a puzzle game. Rovio has released a new update for Angry Birds Space that brings 40 new levels and several new features. This is the biggest update since the launch of the game 2 years back, says Rovio. This also adds new bonus levels, new vehicles such as Orion Crew Vehicle, OSIRIS-REx, Deep Impact and Dawn spacecraft, new Asteroids and Buzz Aldrin bird, named after the Apollo 11 moonwalker for ultimate destruction. Temple Run has touched a new milestone by clocking over 1 billion downloads across all platforms since its inception in 2011. The popular mobile gaming sensation is a product of Imangi Studios and includes the original series and sequel Temple Run 2. This is only the second game after Rovio’s Angry Birds to cross 1 billion downloads.
