Global wearable shipments reach 84.5 million units during Q3 2019, up 94.6% YoY; Apple and Xiaomi continue to lead: IDC

HUAWEI Band 4 Pro with 0.95-inch AMOLED color display, GPS, NFC, 50-meter water resistance announced

HUAWEI  at its China event earlier also introduced the Band 4 Pro, the company’s latest fitness tracker and the successor of last year’s Band 3 Pro. This has the same 0.95-inch AMOLED color 2.5D curved glass touch screen display as well as a home button, comes with continuous heart rate tracking and is also water resistant up to 50 meters with Swim stroke recognition, but this comes with GPS support so that you can record movement during fitness activities in real time without a mobile phone. Infinix Band 5 with 0.96-inch color display, water-resistant body, heart rate sensor launched in India for Rs. 1799

Infinix has launched Band 5, the company’s latest fitness tracker and the successor of the Xband 3 which was launched back in June. It has 0.96-inch color screen that displays icons for different functions. It lets you monitor your heart rate and the fitness band is IP67 rated for water resistance against accidental splashes and dust. Xiaomi Mi Band 3i with 0.78-inch AMOLED touch display, 50-meter water resistance launched in India for Rs. 1299

Xiaomi has launched the Mi Band 3i in India, a cheaper version of the Mi Band 3 in India, it had promised. It has a 0.78-inch OLED touch screen display that shows real-time data for running, cycling, walking, and other activities, is 5ATM water proof so that you can take it for swimming under 50 meters, but this doesn’t have a heart rate sensor that it present in the Mi Band 3. Fitbit announces FitbitOS 4.1 with Heart rate tracking for Versa and new Fitbit Premium features

Fitbit has announced a lot of new things including a FitbitOS 4.1 update, heart rate tracking for the Versa 2 and added more content and tools for Fitbit Premium. The company, who was recently bought by Google for 2.1 Billion dollars, is bringing a bunch of features like a new Agenda app, new clock face switcher, smart wake and more to its smartwatches.

Google acquires Fitbit for $2.1 billion with opportunity to introduce Made by Google wearable devices

Recently, Alphabet Inc, Google’s parent company reportedly made an offer to acquire U.S. wearables device maker, Fitbit Inc. for an undisclosed amount. Now, Google has confirmed that it is acquiring Fitbit for $2.1 billion and Fitbit will be joining Google itself and Google sees this as an opportunity to invest even more in Wear OS as well as introduce ‘Made by Google’ wearable devices into the market.

Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4 Review: Best all-round fitness tracker for the price

Xiaomi launched the Mi Smart Band 4, successor of last year’s Mi Band 3 in India earlier this week. HUAWEI’s HONOR brand introduced the Honor Band 5 last month in China. Now, the company has confirmed that it will launch in India soon on Flipkart. It has a 0.95-inch AMOLED color 2.5D curved glass touch screen display with different watch faces, in addition to Home button, comes with TruSeen 3.0  continuous heart rate tracking and is also water resistant up to 50 meters. It has automatic activity tracking that lets you track 10 fitness activities such as running, cycling, swimming with swim stroke recognition and more.

It has the same 0.95-inch AMOLED color 2.5D curved glass touch screen display in addition to Home button, comes with continuous heart rate tracking, with atrial fibrillation screening is as high as 97.8% and is also water resistant up to 50 meters. It has automatic activity tracking that lets you track running, cycling, swimming and more.
