LG unveiled the G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1 in the G Pad series back in May.The LG G Pad 7.0 started rolling out in Europe in June and the G Pad 10.1 started rolling out starting from the U.S. last month. Both these had only WiFi connectivity. Today LG has announced that it would roll out the G Pad 8.0 with LTE support in Europe starting from this week. Ninja UP! game arrives for Android

Ninja Up for Android

Gameloft introduced Ninja UP!, a 2D game for iOS last month. The game is now available for Android. The gameplay is similar to the popular to Doodle Jump game, but this needs you to draw new rope every time you want to spring upwards. Longer ropes might make for a safer landing area, but smaller the rope, you can jump higher. You can also draw to sideways, but if you fall the game is over.

Lava launched the Iris X1, a budget smartphone running Android 4.4 (KitKat) back in May with 4GB of internal storage. Less internal storage was a major problem that we faced during our review, since the internal storage fills up quickly after installing few apps. Now the company launched the Iris X1 with 8GB ROM at the same price of Rs. 7,999. The Lava Iris X1 also has a microSD card slot. Swarm check-in app lands on Windows Phone

Swarm, the new check-in app from Foursquare has now landed on Windows Phone. The app which was separated from Foursquare with some core feature was first announced in May. Windows Phone users can now access the Swarm app that is already available on Android and the iPhone.

Asus has released the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the Padfone Infinity (A80) and the Fonepad Note 6 (ME560CG). It rolled out the Kitkat update for the Padfone 2 last month. The KitKat update also brings Asus ZenUI with a new user interface for these devices. The ZenUi brings clean layout, flat icons, new color themes, animations, new ringtone and notification tones. UC Browser for Android updated with ad blocker, customized web pages and more

UC Browser has updated its Android app with several features that enhances its UI and overall user experience. For starters, the browser now adds the ability for users to block ads. The company claims that it is the  first ever mobile browser with a default ad blocking functionality.

KitKat 4.4 runs on over 20% of Android devices, Jelly Bean continues to shrink

Google has revealed Android distribution numbers for the month of August that covers a period of time of 7 days, ending on August 12. The data shows the most recent version of Android KitKat reach an all-time usage high at 20.9 percent, up from 17.9 percent this time last month thereby recording a 3 percent growth.

The  Idea FAB has a 4-inch display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash.

Karbonn launched the Titanium Octane and Octane Plus with octa-core processor and Android 4.4 for Rs. 14490 and Rs. 17990 back in March earlier this year. The company has reduced the price of these smartphones to Rs. 11990 and Rs. 13990, respectively in few months after the launch. These are available on Snapdeal at new rates.
