Skype for iPhone and iPad has been updated to version 4.6 that brings new features including an improved user interface for the calling screen, several bug fixes and improvements. This also brings a new and easy way to mark messages as ‘read’. Even though several issues regarding Calling, Conversations, File Transfer has been resolved, still there are several issues in VoiceOver. Skype promises they are working on a fix to resolve these issues.

Rovio has finally made the original Angry Birds free for the iPhone and iPad. Rovio launched the most popular Angry Birds game for iOS back in 2009, and this is the first time the game has gone free. This might be a limited period offer, but we are not sure until Rovio announces it officially. The Angry Birds Rio for iPhone and iPad went free back in January. It was supposed to be a limited time offer, but the game is still free, so even the Angry Birds classic might also remain free. Fishlabs Entertainment and Volkswagen Group China released their free content updates for 3D racing simulation Sports Car Challenge for iOS. This update includes new race track called Singapore by Night, as well as 2 new gameplay features. Sports Car Challenge features an exclusive selection of high-end sports cars by Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Volkswagen. The new Singapore by Night race tracks has neon-lit streets, re-modeled sights and landmarks set in Southeast Asian city-state and the new gameplay features include Racing Line and Brake Assistant. Imangi Studios released the Temple Run: Brave in partnership with Disney/Pixar last June. Now the two companies have partnered once again to bring Temple Run: Oz based on the Temple Run 2 and inspired by Oz the Great and Powerful movie that is releasing in cinemas this week. Twitter to shut down TweetDeck for Android and iPhone


Twitter has announced that they would shut down TweetDeck mobile apps for Android and iPhone. Twitter stopped development of these apps when it acquired TweetDeck, and concentrated more on the official Twitter apps for Android, iPhone and iPad. Twitter for Android and iPhone got a new UI back in December 2011, and the latest update brought improved Search and Discover features. Rovio, the creator of the popular Angry Birds has partnered with DreamWorks Animation to launch their new game called The Croods. Rovio released the Angry Birds Rio in partnership for the Fox Digtal Entertaiment back in March 2011. Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, a movie tie-up game in partnership with DreamWorks was released for iPhone was released back in 2011. Bad Piggies is Rovio’s latest game, after  their totally different puzzle game Amazing Alex. Google has finally brought books to the Google Play Store in India. This would let the users browser, purchase and read from thousands of Indian eBook titles and millions of international eBooks from several categories on the Google Play Store.
