Idea launches 3G Speed Booster plans for postpaid customers

Idea Cellular has launched new 3G speed booster plans for post-paid customers that would let them enjoy high-speed data throughout their billing cycle. These plans are aimed at high-end data users with unlimited and bill secure plans, so that they need not wait till the next billing cycle to get their original speed back, rather than being throttled to 128 Kbps after the data cap based on the plan. Idea Cellular offers 3G speeds of up to 21.1 Mbps till the respective volume of usage.

Idea Ivory Dual SIM 3G Smartphone running Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 7390

Idea has launched the Ivory, the company’s first phone with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It features a 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen display similar to the Idea AURUS that was launched last September, but this has a 1 GHz processor. It comes with Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support similar to the other Idea Smartphones. It comes with a 2MP rear camera. Idea launches buffet plans for postpaid customers


Idea cellular has introduced ‘buffet plan’, range of budget friendly plans for their postpaid customers starting at Rs. 899. These plans start from Rs. 899 and are targeted at postpaid with high voice and data usage. These plans offer Local, STD and Roaming Mobile minutes and also Local and National SMS. Idea launches iRoam International Roaming Voice, Data and SMS packs for postpaid customers


Idea Cellular has introduced  iRoam special International Roaming Offer for its postpaid subscribers. This new pack offers up to 75% discount on International Roaming services such as Incoming Calls, Outgoing Calls, SMS and Data. This is applicable for Idea postpaid subscribers visiting 37 countries including UAE, USA, Singapore, UK, Thailand, China, Germany, France, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Italy and more. This lets the customers make and receive calls and SMS and use Data at nominal cost using their Idea number. Customers can send an SMS from their Idea postpaid number to activate the respective packs. IDEA TV app demoed on AURUS 3G Android Smartphone

Today we were at the Idea Cellular’s Press Conference for the AURUS smartphone launch. We also checked out the Idea 3G TV app on the entry-level Android Smartphone. The service is provided free for 3 months along with AURUS and other Idea smartphones. It would let you watch more than 100+ Live TV channels. Today we were at the Idea Cellular’s Press Conference for their new 3G Android smartphone called AURUS. It is an entry-level Dual SIM smartphone with Dual Standby that runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3.6. Idea launches AURUS Dual SIM 3G Android Smartphone for Rs. 7190

Idea Cellular has launched the AURUS, their new Dual-SIM Android smarphone. It has a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 ( Gingerbread). It is powered by a 800MHz processor and has a 5MP camera, front-facing camera for video calling . The 5MP camera in the phone uses software interpolation that enlarges the captured image resolution beyond the actual resolution by adding extra pixels. Idea offers local on-net calls at 10 paise per minute for UP West and Uttrakhand customers


Idea Cellular has launched new tariff voucher in UP West and Uttrakhand customers that would let them make local on-net (Idea to Idea) calls at just 10 paise per minute. This is available through a special tariff voucher (STV) priced at Rs.28. Idea launched similar plans in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat last year.

Last week we were at the Idea Cellular’s Mumbai office for the launch of Idea 3G Dual Sim smartphone iD-918 priced at Rs. 5994. This is Idea’s 3rd Android smartphone launched in India and it runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Now Idea too reduces 3G Tariffs

Idea Cellular has also reduced 3G tariffs followed by Aircel, Airtel and Vodafone. They launched 3G services in India last March and Double Data offer later that offered twice the data for select plans. Idea has reduced 3G rate up to 70% would offer on the go data rates at 3p/10 KB for pre-paid and post-paid users. Rs. 10 will now offer 30 minutes of internet surfing, HERO-25 sachet pack which will give 100 MB data with 3 days validity at just Rs. 25.
