Airtel launches 4G LTE in Manjeri, Tirurangadi and Thalaserry, now in 50 towns in Kerala

Airtel has commercially launched its 4G LTE services in Kochi in Manjeri, Tirurangadi & Thalaserry in Kerala. With this Airtel 4G is now present in 50 towns in Kerala. It launched 4G services in 296 towns across India earlier back in August last year. It was launched in Kochi in the same month and in Thiruvananthapuram in September. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Airtel launches Wynk Games store with over 2,000 games for Android

Airtel today launched Wynk Games, it latest OTT app for Android users. It has over 2,000 games across genres such as sports, racing adventure, kids and puzzles, including premium and paid titles at no additional cost. “Wynk Games, bundled with Airtel data packs aims to similarly stimulate consumption of this category. Aimed at providing a comprehensive range of ‘Wynk Games’, Airtel has tied up with Playphone Inc., a GungHo Subsidiaria and Softbank group company based in San Mateo, California. This alliance presents exciting opportunities for Indian developers as well,” said Airtel.

Airtel launches new data plans with unlimited validity starting at Rs. 22

Airtel has launched three new data plans with unrestricted / unlimited validity for its prepaid customers. “This is a first-of-its-kind innovation in India’s prepaid mobile that breaks away from the conventional validity expiry model and offers early data users the flexibility of consuming internet services without worrying about expiry of the validity period – thus delivering maximum value,” said the company. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. Airtel has become the first telecom services provider to introduce super fast 4G speeds in Sri City. Airtel officially launches Hangout app to connect to Wi-Fi zones, national roll out soon

Airtel recently released its Hangout app for Android and iPhone that allows its 3G/4G customers to seamlessly latch on to the network in Wi-Fi zones to experience faster internet speeds. Today it has announced the launch of the app officially. Airtel Wi-Fi zone is already live across 8 locations in Delhi/ NCR region and the company plans to roll out nationally soon. Airtel recently announced that it had won contract from Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) to launch Wi-Fi services in Gurgaon.
