Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Kharagpur
Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in Kharagpur in West Bengal, making it the second city in Bengal to have 4G services. Airtel 4G in Kharagpur will be offered using dual spectrum bands of 2300 MHz (TD LTE) and 1800 MHz (FD LTE). It is also one of the few cities in India to have an integrated dual band 4G network, which ensures higher network capacity for a better experience. Airtel announced network transformation program – Project Leap last year, aimed at improving network quality. Later it launched a microsite so that all the customers can see the network coverage for voice, basic data services (2G) and high speed data services (3G/ 4G) in their regions. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Sivakasi and Villupuram
Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in Sivakasi and Villupuram in Tamilnadu. It was the first operator to launch 4G in Tamilnadu back in June 2015. It was launched in Chidambaram, Sriperumbudur and Karaikudi in the state last month and is already available in Coimbatore, Erode, Hosur, Madurai, Pondicherry, Salem, Tirunelveli, Tirupur, Trichy, Vellore, Cuddalore, Ambur, Rajapalayam, Kovilpatti, Periyanaicken-palayam (Tp), Namakkal and Gudiyatham.
