Karbonn A11 Dual SIM phone that was listed on Flipkart earlier this week is now available from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.0-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Vodafone to accept Aadhaar as Identity and Address proof for a new connection

Vodafone has been appointed as the official Authentication Service Agency (ASA) and Authentication User Agency (AUA) of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). They launched the Proof of Concept (PoC) for use of Aadhaar as valid Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) using the Aadhaar online authentication procedure in Andhra Pradesh. LG India announces winners of Smartphone Idea Camp contest


LG Smartphone Idea Camp contest is over and the winners got away with the prize-worth Rs. 1,000,000 along with LG Smart phones as an additional prize of Rs. 500,000. LG launched the Smartphone Idea Camp contest on August 1st which received registrations from 3700 contestants and ended on 15th September, 2012. iPhone 5 to Launch in India and Malaysia on Coming October 26?

BGR.in reports that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 5 in India on October 26th. This isn’t the first time an October 26 launch in Asia has been mentioned. Last month,  The Malay Mail reported that the iPhone 5 would be coming to Malaysia on that date, pending stock availability. There is no concrete word about the pricing yet but multiple sources FoneArena spoke to indicate a pricing of around Rs.48500-52500 approximately for the 16GB iPhone 5. MTS launches MTag 353 Android Smartphone for Rs. 5999

MTS has launched their new Android Smartphone MTag 353. It is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 Processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), similar to the MTag 351, MTag 352 and MTag 281 that was launched in August. S Huawei Ascend Y100 now available in India for Rs. 5990

Huawei has launched the Y100, their new entry-level Android smartphone in India in partnership with Spice, hence it called S Huawei Y100. It has a 2.8-inch (320 × 240 pixels) TFT Capacitave touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a 3.2MP fixed-focus camera at the back. The Huawei Ascend Y100 was announced back in May for select countries. Micromax has launched the Funbook Talk (P350), their new 7-inch tablet in the Funbook series. This tablet has a ear piece for voice calling and has 2G (GPRS) connectivity. Spice Stellar Horizon finally goes on sale in India for Rs. 12499

Spice Stellar Horizon (Mi-500) is finally available in India from online retailer Saholic. Spice unveiled the Stellar Horizon along with the other Android Smartphones, Stellar and Stellar Craze, but it was delayed.  It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It was supposed to come with a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, but MediaTek announced that the phone would be powered by their new 1 GHz dual-core MT6577 processor. MTS launches mAd, lets you make free local calls by watching Video Ads


MTS has launched a new Mobile Advertising Service called mAd. This service would let the customers watch a short video Ad on their device before a call and get free local calling minutes. It doesn’t have any activation charges, application download charges and data transfer charges while viewing video ads. Popular brands such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mentos, Center Fresh, Fiat, Kellogg’s, Titan, Lenovo have partnered with MTS for this service. Zync Z-930 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 5499

Zync has launched the Z-930, their new 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Zync has also promised Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the tablet. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, similar to the Z-900 that was launched earlier this year. Other features include a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with Mali-400 GPU, 0.3MP front-facing camera for video calling and 3600 mAh battery.
