ZTE A20 5G with 6.92-inch FHD+ OLED display, 32MP under screen camera gets certified

After leaks CEO of ZTE phones Ni Fei yesterday confirmed that the company will launch A20 5G as the world’s first smartphone with under-screen camera. Today the phone has been certified by TENAA in China with the model number A2121. This reveals a 32-megapixel under-screen camera, so there is no notch or punch-hole in the 6.92-inch FHD+ OLED screen. There is Axon 5G branding and ZTE branding on the back. Nubia Watch with 4.01-inch flexible AMOLED display, eSIM, Redmagic TWS and neckband low-latency gaming headsets and more announced

Along with the Redmagic 5S, nubia brand also announced Nubia Watch, a new version of the nubia Alpha smartwatch phone that was introduced last year, but without the cameras as well as range of audio products, chargers and more. The nubia Watch has a 4.01-inch super flexible AMOLED screen, a light aluminum alloy + nano-injection process and a 316L stainless steel frame, skin-friendly silicone strap, biomedical-grade ceramic body. ZTE today announced Axon 11 SE 5G, the company’s latest 5G smartphone. It packs a 6.53-inch Full HD+ screen with 3.56mm minimal bezels, and 90.8% screen-to-body ratio and houses a 16-megapixel punch-hole camera, is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 800 7nm SoC with ZBooster 2, up to 8GB of RAM, built-in 5G stand alone and non-stand alone (SA/NSA) sub-6GHz networks, quad rear cameras that includes a 48-megapixel primary rear camera, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensors. ZTE’s nubia brand just announced nubia Play, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in China, as it had promised. It packs a 6.65-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 4096 levels of automatic brightness adjustment, is powered by Snapdragon 765G with support for 5G SA/NSA dual-mode, ICE2.5 rack-mounted liquid cooling system with 61mm large liquid cooling tube and various heat dissipation materials such as thermally conductive graphite, gel, copper foil, etc. that can bring down the temperature by up to 16° C. Nubia Play 5G with 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 765G, 48MP quad rear cameras, 5100mAh battery to be announced on April 21

Update: April 17, 2020 – Nubia has confirmed that the phone will come with an AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The image shows a bezel on the top to house the camera, and the phone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone has been confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 765G Mobile Platform.

LG cancels MWC 2020 event over coronavirus concerns [Update: ZTE will participate as planned]

Earlier this week GSMA that conducts Mobile World Congress (MWC) events every year announced that it continues to monitor and assess the potential impact of the Coronavirus and said that there is minimal impact on the event. It confirmed that MWC event will happen in Barcelona from 24 to 27, February 2020 as planned. It also said that it has implemented many measures to help to mitigate the spread of the virus and is continuing to add other actions regularly. Last month ZTE confirmed that it will introduce Axon 10s Pro 5G, the company’s first phone with Snapdragon 865 and X55 5G modem and support for SA / NSA dual-mode 5G network and Wi-Fi 6 in the first half of 2020. Now the phone has been certified by TENAA in China with the model number A2020 confirming the complete specifications. During the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2019 earlier this month ZTE was one of the OEMs who confirmed that it will introduce new Axon phones with 5G support, Snapdragon 865 and X55 in the first half of 2020. Nubia Red Magic 3S with 6.65-inch FHD+ HDR AMOLED 90Hz display, Snapdragon 855 Plus, up to 12GB RAM launching in India on October 17 starting at Rs. 35999

Update: nubia has now confirmed that the Red Magic 3S will be launched in India on October 17th and will be available on Flipkart. It will come in Mecha Silver and Cyber Shade colors. It has also confirmed that the phone will be priced at Rs. 35,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version. We should know the price of the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version and the sale date tomorrow.

Nubia Red Magic 3S with 6.65-inch FHD+ HDR AMOLED 90Hz display, Snapdragon 855 Plus, 12GB RAM, active liquid-cooling announced

ZTE’s Nubia brand just introduced Nubia Red Magic 3s, the company’s latest gaming smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. It has the same 6.65-inch FHD+ HDR AMOLED display with 90hz refresh rate, HDR support, but this is powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus with up to 12GB of RAM and features UFS 3.0 storage. It also retains active cooling system that uses liquid cooling technology along with an internal turbo fan with upgraded air inlet, making active cooling more efficient to dramatically improving thermal performance.

ZTE’s Nubia brand just announced the Nubia Z20, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.42-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with minimal bezels and no notch since it doesn’t have a front camera, and a secondary 5.1-inch HD+ AMOLED screen that blends into the glass body. There is DC dimming, and the new AOD 2.0, supports information display with customizable text, graphics, GIF, video and more on both the screens.
