Update: April 17, 2020 – Nubia has confirmed that the phone will come with an AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The image shows a bezel on the top to house the camera, and the phone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone has been confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 765G Mobile Platform.
ZTE just announced ZTE Axon 11 5G, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in China. The phone packs a 6.47-inch Full HD+ AMOLED curved screen with 92% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 765G 7nm SoC with support for up to 8GB RAM, nano carbon fiber and liquid cooling, packs 64-megapixel main camera along with an 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel depth and 2-megapixel 4cm macro cameras and a 20-megapixel camera on the front, inside the waterdrop notch. ZTE’s nubia brand just announced the RedMagic 5G, the company’s latest flagship smartphone as it had promised. It packs a 6.65-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, follow-up response time of 14.9ms, a sliding response time of 45ms, and a click response time of 32.2ms. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 865 with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, comes with new L-shaped cooling pipe and new Active Liquid-Cooling with Turbo Fan 3.0 is 200% cooler from previous RedMagic phones and has increased the air flow volume by 30% and also features multilayer thermal graphite. Earlier this week GSMA that conducts Mobile World Congress (MWC) events every year announced that it continues to monitor and assess the potential impact of the Coronavirus and said that there is minimal impact on the event. It confirmed that MWC event will happen in Barcelona from 24 to 27, February 2020 as planned. It also said that it has implemented many measures to help to mitigate the spread of the virus and is continuing to add other actions regularly. Update: November 22, 2019: nubia has started rolling out new Eclipse Black version of the phone in 8GB+128GB version, and the price remains the same. It is not clear when the company is planning to launch the new color version in India.
Update: nubia has now confirmed that the Red Magic 3S will be launched in India on October 17th and will be available on Flipkart. It will come in Mecha Silver and Cyber Shade colors. It has also confirmed that the phone will be priced at Rs. 35,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version. We should know the price of the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version and the sale date tomorrow.
Update: nubia has started rolling out the phone globally priced at $549 (Rs. 39,125 approx.) / €549 / £499 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version on nubia.com in Twilight Blue and Diamond Black versions. It is available in USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan and Macao.
ZTE’s Nubia brand just introduced Nubia Red Magic 3s, the company’s latest gaming smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. It has the same 6.65-inch FHD+ HDR AMOLED display with 90hz refresh rate, HDR support, but this is powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus with up to 12GB of RAM and features UFS 3.0 storage. It also retains active cooling system that uses liquid cooling technology along with an internal turbo fan with upgraded air inlet, making active cooling more efficient to dramatically improving thermal performance.
Nubia launched the Red Magic 3 gaming smartphone in India a couple of months back. It came with a 90Hz display, Snapdragon 855 SoC, active cooling system and more. Now, Nubia is gearing up to launch the new Red Magic 3S and the company has scheduled an event on September 5th 2019 in China where it will be unveiling the gaming smartphone.
