ZTE has announced that it is expected to nearly double its profits in 2014. The Chinese telecom equipment maker’s guidance issued for 2014 shows 94.2% higher net profit of 2.64 billion yuan ($424 million).

ZTE has announced Spro 2, the company’s latest smart projector running Android 4.4 (Kit Kat) at the CES. It also has a built-in 4G LTE hotspot that lets you share it with 8 other devices. It is powered by Snapdragon 800 SoC, can project up to 120” in size at 200 lumens of brightness with auto focus up to 720p.

ZTE has launched the nubia 5S mini smartphone in the U.S. It is calling the smartphone nubia 5S mini LTE in the country. It was first launched in China back in November last year and packs a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IGZO display.
