Xiaomi Redmi 3 with 5-inch HD display, metal body gets certified in China

Xiaomi introduced Redmi Note 3, the company’s latest ‘Redmi Note’ series smartphone with a metal body recently. Now a new Xiaomi smartphone with similar unibody metal build has been certified by TENAA (Via) in China. The design is similar to Redmi Note 3, but this doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor on the back. This could be the Redmi 3 that surfaced on Geekbench recently, revealing the Snapdragon 617 processor and 2GB of RAM. MediaTek Helio X20 scores high multi-core performance on GeekBench

MediaTek had annouced the Helio X20 processor in May this year that was touted as the world’s first SoC to have 10 cores and a tri-cluster CPU design. Now, the Helio X20 SoC has been spotted on GeekBench.

Xiaomi Pick Mi‬ door step pick up and drop service can now be booked by giving a missed call

Xiaomi launched Pick Mi doorstep home pick up and drop service for its products across India at just Rs. 189 (including taxes) back in October. Today the company announced that you can now give a ‘missed call’ to 7676404444 to book the Pick Mi service. You can also book it by calling the toll free number 1800 103 6286. Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 3 smartphone last month. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have its benchmarks. The Redmi Note 3 is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) SoC with 8 ARM Cortex-A53 64-bit CPUs clocked at 1.95GHz per core and has PowerVR G6200 GPU. It packs 3GB of RAM, 5.5-inch 1080p display and runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop). Check out the synthetic benchmarks scores.

Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note Prime, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi Note series in India, when everyone expected the Redmi Note 2 Prime. It packs a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs on MIUI v7. Xiaomi said that it is the second Mi phone to be manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn Technology Group. Just yesterday, Xiaomi Mi 5 had surfaced in a render and today another phone from the company has been spotted on a benchmarking site. A device code named as Xiaomi Kenzo has appeared on Geekbench showing some specs of the phone.

[Update 2: We have heard from our sources that Xiaomi is not expected to launch the Redmi Note 2 Prime next week, and a new device is launching.]

[Update: Xiaomi has announced that they will launch a secret new product on December 15.]

Xiaomi is all set to launch its Redmi Note 2 Prime smartphone in India soon, reveals Amazon.in teaser, which says that #PrimeIsComing. Even though the teaser doesn’t reveal the smartphone, the image of the smartphone resembles the Note 2 Prime. Looks like the Ericsson patent issue is going to be settled soon or the smartphone might come with a different processor. We will have to wait for the launch to find out.
