Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 3S smartphone in India, as it had promised. It packs a 5-inch HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 SoC, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with MIUI 7 on top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus of just 0.1 second and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Xiaomi introduced Redmi Pro and Mi Notebook Air at an event in China earlier this week. Today the company has sent invites for another event in China on August 1st where it will unveil a VR headset, as it had promised last month. The teaser reveals that Xiaomi will launch video resources that will give users an ‘enjoyable VR experience’.

Xiaomi introduced Mi Band 2 fitness and sleep tracker last month in China. We recently brought you the hands-on impressions of the Mi Band 2, here we have the unboxing.
Xiaomi has announced Mi Notebook Air, the company’s first Windows 10 laptop, along with the Redmi Pro at an event in China. It comes in 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch models with 1080p displays with 5.71mm and 5.59mm ultra-narrow borders, respectively. It has a full metal body with 135-degree opening and closing hinge. The 12.5-inch model is just 12.9mm thick and weighs 1.07kg and the 13.3-inch model is 14.8mm thick, compared to 17mm thick MacBook Air and weighs just 1.28kg.

Xiaomi just announced Redmi Pro, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series at an event in China. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p OLED 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 / X25 SoC and runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has dual rear cameras, a 13-megapixel camera along with a 5-megapixel camera for achieving depth of field and real-time background blur. Xiaomi already confirmed Deca-Core Helio X25 SoC, dual cameras and OLED display for the Redmi Pro. Today the company’s CEO Lei Jun has posted an image of him holding the phone. This shows the phone’s unibody metal design and dual cameras on the back. Images of the rumored Mi Notebook has also surfaced in a couple of images that shows chrome finish and USB Type-C port. Xiaomi launched 10400mAh power bank back in 2014. Last year it introduced a new slimmer 10000mAh power bank. Today it has launched the power bank in India during the Mi 2nd Anniversary sale. This has the same brushed aluminium finish, similar to the other most other Mi Power banks. The energy density is increased by 30% and the volume decrease by 21.4% compared to it’s old power bank, says Xiaomi.
