It has a 6.3-inch FHD+ Dewdrop Full Screen display with a notch, 90.8% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass protection, is powered by Snapdragon 660 AIE with up to 8GB of RAM, runs ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo). Realme 2 Pro with Dewdrop Full Screen display, Snapdragon 660, up to 8GB RAM launching on September 27 exclusively on Flipkart

OPPO’s Realme brand already teased the Realme 2 Pro smartphone in a video recently and also said that the phone will launch on September 27th exclusively on Flipkart. The company has also confirmed some of the specifications including Snapdragon 660 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM and dual rear cameras with AI features, on its social channels. The phone will feature a Dewdrop Full Screen display with minimal bezels.

Realme 2 sales cross half a million in two weeks, combined Realme smartphone sales cross 1 million

OPPO’s sub-brand Realme launched the Realme 2, the company’s second-generation smartphone in India last month. During the first sale the company said that it sold 200,000 or 2 lakh units of smartphones in just 5 minutes on Flipkart. In the second sale last week it said that it sold 170,000 or 1.7 lakh units with combined sales of 3.7 lakh units in first two sales.

Realme 2 Pro with FullView display, dual rear cameras teased in video ahead of next week’s launch

Realme at the launch of the Realme 2 smartphone last month, confirmed that it will launch the Realme 2 Pro with better specifications in September. The company recently sent out invites for the launch of the phone on September 26th and 27th. Today it has posted a new teaser titled “Realme, Proud to be Young”. It also says that the phone will have Max Power and Max Style.

Over 2 lakh Realme 2 units sold out in 5 minutes in first sale, next sale on September 11

OPPO’s sub-brand Realme launched the Realme 2, the company’s second-generation smartphone in India last week starting at Rs. 8990. It went on sale for the first time on Flipkart at 12PM today. The company has confirmed that it sold 200,000 or 2 lakh units of smartphones in just 5 minutes. Next sale is scheduled for 11th September, which is next Tuesday. Realme today launched the Realme 2, the company’s second-generation smartphone as it had promised. It has a 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch and 88.8% screen-to-body ratio, Snapdragon 450 SoC with up to 4GB RAM, ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo), 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shot and 8-megapixel front camera with AI beautify features that intelligently recognizes 296 facial features as well as face unlock. It has similar specifications as the OPPO A5 which was launched last week.

Realme 2 launching in India exclusively on Flipkart on August 28, to be priced below Rs. 10000

Realme already announced that the Realme 2 smartphone will be launched on August 28th. Today Flipkart has confirmed that it will be available exclusively with them and also said that it will be one of the first companies to offer a notch screen under Rs. 10,000. Realme 2 with 6.2-inch notch display, dual rear cameras, 4230mAh battery launching in India on August 28 [Update: Snapdragon SoC]

Update – August 23: Qualcomm India has confirmed that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon Mobile Platform. The Realme 1 was powered by  MediaTek Helio P60 SoC. Realme also confirmed that the phone will feature a 6.2-inch display with 88.8% screen-to-body ratio, compared to 6-inch display with 75.7% screen-to-body ratio on the Realme 1. Based on Flipkart’s teasers the phone will be exclusively available with them. The Realme 1 was launched exclusively on Amazon.in.

Former OPPO VP Sky Li to head online-exclusive brand Realme

Back in May OPPO and Amazon India partnered to introduce the Realme smartphone brand and launched the Realme 1 smartphone in the country. Now the company’s founder, Sky Li, the former Vice President of OPPO international mobile business has posted an open letter to announce Realme as an independent brand.
