Lenovo India recently started teasing the K8 Plus smartphone, few weeks after the launch of the K8 Note smartphone in the country. Today Flipkart that partnered with Lenovo for K5 Plus, K5 Note and K6 Power has announced that K8 Plus will launch exclusively on Flipkart on September 6th. Lenovo launched the K8 Note smartphone in India with dual rear cameras starting at Rs. 12,999. We already brought you the unboxing of the phone, here we have the camera samples from the phone. The phone packs a 13MP rear camera with PureCel Plus OV13855 sensor, dual-tone LED Flash along with a secondary 5MP camera with S5K5E2 sensor to capture depth information. It has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, wide-angle lens and soft LED flash.
Lenovo launched the PHAB 2 Plus in India last year, later it launched the PHAB 2 in the country in December. It even launched the PHAB 2 Pro, the world’s first Google tango-enabled smartphone for consumers earlier this year. All these phones were launched running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The company’s roadmap has revealed that the phones will not get updated to Android Nougat since it says that it doesn’t have any upgrades planned for the series. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, similar to the K5 Note and the K6 Note, but this is powered by a Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X23 SoC, making it the first smartphone with the processor and runs on stock Android 7.1.1 (Nougat).
