Lenovo PHAB 2 series including Tango-enabled Phab 2 Pro will not get Android 7.0 Nougat update

Lenovo launched the PHAB 2 Plus in India last year, later it launched the PHAB 2 in the country in December. It even launched the PHAB 2 Pro, the world’s first Google tango-enabled smartphone for consumers earlier this year. All these phones were launched running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The company’s roadmap has revealed that the phones will not get updated to Android Nougat since it says that it doesn’t have any upgrades planned for the series. Lenovo today launched K8 Note, the company’s latest ‘Note Series’ smartphone in India, as it had promised. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, similar to the K5 Note and the K6 Note, but this is powered by a Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X23 SoC, making it the first smartphone with the processor and runs on stock Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). It has 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera to capture depth information for bokeh effect. Today Amazon India has announced that it will be available exclusively with them while teasing the performance and camera of phone.
