Lava has launched the Iris 550Q the company’s latest smartphone in the Iris series. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display based on OGS technology, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. It has narrow 3mm bezel that makes the body smaller. It packs a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Karbonn, Lava to reportedly launch affordable Windows Phone handsets in few months

Karbonn, Lava and Xolo would launch smartphones running on Windows Phone in coming months, according to a recent report from TOI. Last month at the Mobile World Congress, Microsoft announced nine new Windows Phone partners, that includes Karbonn and Xolo from India. Lava Iris 503 went on sale back in November last year. The Iris 503e, a budget variant of the Iris 503 is now available from eBay.in. it has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, unlike the qHD screen on the Iris 503. Other specifications are almost similar, including a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and a Dual SIM support. According to official website, it has a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, but the branding on the back says 5MP. It has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. It has a 3-megapixel rear with LED flash and VGA front-facing camera. Lava launched the Iris Pro 30, the company’s first smartphone in the Iris Pro earlier this month for Rs. 15,999. We already brought you the hands-on and the photo gallery of the Iris Pro 30 from the launch event and brought you the unboxing earlier today, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589 processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display based on OGS technology and Corning Gorilla glass protection, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. The phone is 7.5mm thick and weighs just 114 grams since it uses magnesium alloy body. The phone has CABC (Content Adaptive backlight control) screen brightness regulation technology that automatically reduces screen brightness for 30% more battery life. Lava Iris 405+ with 4-inch display, 1.3 GHz dual-core processor launched for Rs. 6999

Lava Iris 405+ that was spotted online earlier this week has been officially launched in India. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera, similar to the Iris 405. It also has dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other Iris smartphones. It has 3G support, 512MB RAM and packs a 1400 mAh battery.
