Intel introduces Discrete Arc A-Series GPUs for laptops

Intel today unveiled the Arc line-up of discrete graphics processors, which are based on the firm’s revolutionary Xe HPG (High Performance Graphics) architecture. This first set of GPUs is designed specifically for laptops, with desktop and workstation versions coming later this year. Hardware, software, services, as well as high-performance graphics experiences will be delivered through the Intel Arc platform and the A-Series mobile GPU family. Intel introduces 12th Gen Core P-series and U-series processors for thin-and-light laptops

Intel has announced the launch of 20 new processors in their 12th gen ‘Alder Lake’ family of processors that are designed exclusively for thin-and-light laptops. All these CPUs will feature their hybrid design architecture that is built on the Intel 7 process, and will offer up to 14 cores designs (6 P-cores and 8 E-cores).

Intel Arc Alchemist GPU-powered laptops in Q1 2022, desktop offerings in Q2 2022

Intel held their 2022 Investor Meeting yesterday and during the event, the company revealed that the first devices powered by Intel Arc GPUs are slated to launch soon in the first quarter of 2022. The first devices will be laptops, followed by desktop offerings in Q2 2022, and the company expects to ship over 4 million Arc GPUs in the whole year.

Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake lineup includes 22 new desktop and 28 mobile processors

Intel at its CES event introduced 22 new 12th Gen Intel Core 65- and 35-watt desktop processors with scalable power and performance for gaming, creation and productivity. It also introduced 28 new 12th Gen Intel Core mobile SKUs across H-, P- and U-series processors, including new P-series, aimed at performance thin and light laptops. TSMC said to begin 3nm chip production for Apple and Intel in Q4 2022

TSMC is looking to begin commercial production of chips built on its 3nm process in  Q4 quarter of 2022, according to the latest report from DigiTimes. Intel announces packaging & process roadmap till 2025, will make chips for Qualcomm

Over the last few years, Intel’s decline in the consumer processor space has become very obvious, which likely led to the change in the leadership, including the hiring of their new CEO Pat Gelsinger. The company has been making multiple changes internally that are aimed at putting Intel back in the top, and during their Accelerated webcast today, they revealed the roadmap of process and packaging innovations till 2025 and beyond.

Airtel and Intel partner for 5G services in India

After partnering with Qualcomm, Airtel today announced a collaboration with Intel to use its vRAN / O-RAN technologies for 5G services in India. Airtel said that will deploy Intel’s latest 3rd gen Xeon Scalable processors, FPGAs and eASICs, and Ethernet 800 series across its network to build a solid foundation for rolling out wide-scale 5G, mobile edge computing and network slicing. Apple and Intel will reportedly be the first major companies to build chips with TSMC’s 3nm process technology. The two companies are currently testing chip designs with this technology, and will likely mass-produce these chips for devices slated to launch in the second half of the next year.

Intel introduces 11th Generation Core Tiger Lake H-series mobile processors

Intel has introduced new 11th Gen Intel Core H-series processors based on 10 nanometer SuperFin process technology, feature up to 8 cores and 16 threads, with single and dual-core turbo performance up to 5.0GHz. Additionally, the central processing unit (CPU) can directly access high-speed GDDR6 memory attached to the graphics card, enabling gamers to experience higher frame rates with lower latency, and load large textures faster. The mobile processor offers 2.5 times the total PCIe bandwidth to the CPU compared with the 10th Gen H-series processors, and three times the total PCIe bandwidth compared with other industry processors.
