Alphabet records $39.2 billion in revenue with 22% YoY growth in Q4 2018

Alphabet Inc. has announced financial results for the fourth quarter of the year that ended on December 31st, 2018. Google reported total revenue of $39.2 billion with 22% YoY growth and 23% increase in constant currency revenues year over year. Google bans several beauty apps from the Play Store that redirect users to phishing websites, steal pictures and more

According to security researchers, several beauty camera apps on Google Play are capable of accessing remote ad configuration servers that can be used for malicious purposes. What’s not surprising is that some of these apps have millions of downloads given the popularity. A large number of the download counts originated from Asia, particularly in India. Alphabet’s Verily said to be working on health-tracking shoes to measure movement, weight and falls

Alphabet’s Verily life science arm seems to be planning on bringing health-tracking shoes to measure movement, weight, and falls. The company is looking for partners to co-develop these shoes. Apple restores Google’s internal iOS apps after certificate misuse

Back in December 2018, Google announced that it will shut down Google+ for consumers in April 2019 due to low usage and challenges involved. The company confirmed that it will pull the plug on April 2nd, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages you created will be shut down and the company will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts. The reason why Android apps need to read the clipboard is that they can’t accept any text from the clipboard without it, meaning you can’t paste any text that you’ve copied.
