Acer has released Chromebook 14, its first Chromebook with all-aluminum chassis and it also promises up to 14 hours of battery life. It comes in 14-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) or HD (1366×768) resolutions with wide viewing angles up to 170 degrees, is powered by an Intel Celeron quad-core or dual-core N3060 processor and comes with 4GB or 2GB dual channel LPDDR3 SDRAM with 32GB and 16GB storage, respectively. Microsoft has partnered with Acer to pre-load productivity apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype on select Android smartphones and tablets from Acer. The company said that it will start the pre-installing the apps from second half of 2016.

Acer has announced a new addition to its Chromebook 11 line. The Chromebook 11 CB3-131 is said to be more durable and is reinforced and hardened like its business and education models. Acer claims that the device can handle up to 60kg of downward force on the top cover, while the corners can tolerate up to 60cm drops without damage.
Acer teased the Liquid Jade Primo, the company’s flagship smartphone running Windows 10 Mobile at the IFA last year. Today the company has officially detailed all the features of the smartphone and has also revealed its pricing ahead of CES 2016. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection, is powered by an Hexa-Core Snapdragon 808 processor, has 21-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, 4K video recording and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with up to 84-degree wide-angle lens. Acer has introduced Iconia One 8 B1-850, the company’s latest Android tablet and the successor of last year’s Iconia One 8 B1-830 tablet ahead of CES 2016. It has a 8-inch HD display, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and has a 5-megapixel rear camera similar to its predecessor, but this is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor and a better 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
