hike, cross-platform messenger got $14M funding from Bharti Softbank (BSB) recently. hike crossed 15 million users in February and has over 80% user base under 25%. It has released new political sticker pack aimed at youth for the general election 2014. The pack includes stickers for Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and other generic stickers dedicated to elections. These are co-created with the youth, says hike. Samsung SM-G906S with 5.2-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display, Snapdragon 805 spotted in Benchmarks

Samsung SM-G906S, an unknown devices with a 5.2-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display has appeared on GFXBench. Samsung SM-G900S with a similar Quad HD display appeared on GFXBench back in December 2013, but Samsung did not release the phone. The SM-G900S had a Snapdragon 800 processor, but the SM-G906S would have a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 GPU. It runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat). Google makes In-App Content search global and introduces support for new apps

Google had earlier announced that it will soon be allowing users to search for content within applications. For example, if you search for a movie, then you will be prompted for a search result that will open inside the IMDB app if you have it installed. This feature was announced by Google sometime back and has been in use for a limited geographic area. Now, Google has expanded the availability of this in app search to global users.

Microsoft Office for iPad hits 12 million downloads in just a week

Microsoft had released Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel and PowerPoint on the Apple app store just ahead of their Build conference and now, within just a week after launch, according to Microsoft, there have been 12 million downloads of its apps. That shows the immense popularity for Microsoft apps. The apps are free to download, but they are free only for viewing the files. In order to be able to edit files on the iPad, you should have subscription for Microsoft Office which will cost you $99 per annum.

LINE corporation, a company based in Japan has announced that LINE Messenger has crossed over 400 million users worldwide across all its platforms. The company crossed 300 million users back in November. It has added 100 million users in about four months. The company also announced that they have reached 18 million users in India in just 7 months after the launch. It reached 10 million mark in India in the first three months. BlackBerry has announced a new BBM 2.1 update for BlackBerry, Android and iPhone that would bring stickers through new BBM Shop. This offers sticker packs, similar to stickers on the Facebook Messenger. Each pack would have 20 to 25 stickers. BBM shop has both free and paid (about $1.99) stickers. This update  also brings option to send larger files up to 16MB on BlackBerry 10, Android and iPhone. Apple to increase iOS App Store prices in India, Australia and more countries

Apple had already altered international App Store pricing to bring them in line with current exchange rates. This time Apple has decided to increase the price of apps in the App Store in order to compensate for changes in foreign exchange rates, reports TechCrunch. Apple would make changes to retail rates for Australian dollar, Indian rupee, Indonesian rupiah, Turkish lira, and South African rand. ZeptoLab, the creators of popular Cut the Rope games has released Cut the Rope 2 for Android finally. It was released for iPhone and iPad back in December last year, and the company promised to release the game for Android in early 2014. In this new game, Om Nom breaks out of his box and travels through lush forests, busy cities, junkyards and underground tunnels for Candy.
