Around the world lockdowns restrictions are beginning to being lifted and in many countries, people have started to go back to work. To help people stay safe during transit, Google Maps is rolling out new features and tools that will provide them with more information and alerts during their transit.
Paytm has partnered with two NBFCs to expand their Postpaid services for many more use cases in India. Users can now avail Paytm Postpaid at neighbourhood Kirana stores, retail stores like Reliance Fresh, Haldiram, Apollo Pharmacy, Paytm Mall, and internet apps such as Domino’s, Tata Sky, Pepperfry, etc.
Telegram has a released a new update for their messaging client, bringing the version to 6.2.0. The update adds a few new features like support for editing videos and adding animated stickers in the media editor, new tabs in the GIF panel for easier discovery, etc. along with a few UI animations throughout the app.

In the last two months, Google has noticed a spike in searches related to “insomnia” and “can’t sleep” and this has prompted them to introduce a few tools to help users better use their smartphones to improve sleeping habits. These tools include a Bedtime feature for Digital Wellbeing, a Bedtime tab for the Clock app, reminders in YouTube and more.
Twitter has announced a new feature in their tweet composer for the web that lets users save drafts of tweets that they want to complete later and also let them schedule send tweets at a time of their choosing. The feature can be accessed with a few clicks and will be appearing for Desktop and mobile web client first.

Samsung India has launched yet another initiative that is aimed at creating an online presence for their offline Samsung retail stores. They have partnered with Facebook this time, to train Samsung’s offline partners to become part of an online ecosystem.
