Sony has rolled out a big software update for its interchangeable lenses – Sony QX10 and Sony QX100. Both the lenses were announced alongside the company’s current flagship – Sony Xperia Z1, at the IFA in Berlin. The latest software update has the version number 2.0 and brings along with it a couple of changes for the lenses.

Galaxy Gear is the first Smartwatch from Samsung, the world leader in consumer electronics. One would have expected it to sell like how the Note sold, even after reviews lambasted it for being too big and otherworldly, but that isn’t the same case for the Galaxy Gear. It has received price cuts after price cuts and we are now at a stage in which it sells at a price of Rs. 14,999 in retail, a huge 8,000 discount from the original launch price of Rs. 22,990. The price has fallen by almost 40%, which indicates the kind of demand that the product is getting in the market. Sure, the market is not really a “Smartwatch” market per se, but bundling it with the Note 3 was a clever strategy from Samsung, which unfortunately did not work in its favour.

Samsung started rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for its latest and greatest flagship – Samsung Galaxy Note 3 a week back. Ever since the update, some users have complaints that some unofficial accessories have stopped working. Samsung was blamed that they had terminated the support for third party accessories with the latest update. But that is not the case. Samsung has acknowledged this problem and have mentioned that they will be issuing an OTA update to bring back the support.
Soen Audio, a US-based company launched TRANSIT, the company’s new Bluetooth speakers in India for Rs. 12,990. Here we have the speaker for review. Sony unveiled a tennis racket sensor at the CES 2014 earlier this month, now the company has officially announced the Smart Tennis Sensor (SSE-TN1) that would help you improve your tennis racket swing. This latches on to the bottom of your tennis racket and connects to your smartphone over Bluetooth to send data about your swing. This lets you immediately analyze the shot using the dedicated Smart Tennis Sensor application on your iPhone or Android. While the tech industry is eagerly awaiting the launch of pocket and wallet friendly Motorola Moto G in India, Motorola has made the Grip shells available for Moto G in the US where the phone is already on sale. CES 2014 was expected to be filled with wearable gadgets and we weren’t disappointed or excited. Almost all the leading manufacturers now have their own version of wearable technology, most in the form of smartwatches. Pebble, one of the KickStarter successes is also a smartwatch company and it announced the second generation Pebble Steel at CES 2014. After LG and Sony, Razer has introduced Razer Nabu SmartBand at the International CES. Razer calls it has the world’s smartest wristband. It offers notifications from iPhone or Android smartphones smartphone on tiny OLED screens and also tracks selected personal information. Razer says it’s and open platform so that third-party developers can create applications for personal, physical and geographical data.
