Back in December last year ASUS confirmed Android Pie update for Zenfone 5Z and Max Pro M2 will get the Pie update in January, and the Max Pro M1 will get in February, but only the Zenfone 5Z got the Pie update in January, while the other phones are yet to get the update. This week the company confirmed that the both these phones along with the Zenfone Max M2 will get the update by April 15th.
ASUS has started rolling out new update for the Zenfone Max Pro M2 smartphone that brings front camera portrait and EIS support when recording videos using the front camera, as it had promised at the launch event earlier this month, however it is yet to receive AI camera features.

ASUS just launched Zenfone Max Pro M2, successor of Max Pro M1 in India, as it had promised. The Max Pro M2 has a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, is powered by Snapdragon 660 with 4GB of RAM, runs stock Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie) in January, has a 12-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera and a 13-megapixel front camera, both with LED flash. It also has support for fast unlock. The company said that it will get AI features and EIS for front camera with an update soon.

ASUS has finally confirmed that it will launch the Zenfone Max Pro M2 smartphone in India on December 11th, same date as Indonesia. It will be exclusively launched on Flipkart. The company confirmed notch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, Snapdragon SoC, Sony sensor for the rear camera and a large battery promising over two days of battery life.
It is already known that Asus is working on a sequel to the Zenfone Max M1; the Max M2 (ZB631KL) and Zenfone Max Pro M2 (ZB633KL). After rumors, ASUS recently confirmed that it will unveil the ZenFone Max Pro M2 (ZB631KL), successor of its most pouple Max Pro M1, on December 11 at an event in Indonesia. Now the smartphone has been full revealed in a press render. This reveals a 19:9 aspect ratio notch display, Snapdragon 660 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, dual rear cameras, even though earlier rumors said that it will have triple rear cameras, however it is rumored that there might be a ZB634KL model with triple rear cameras. It is said to come with a glossy plastic display. ASUS is said to retain the huge 5000mAh battery and sock Android.
