Sony along with Xperia Z5 has taken wraps off Xperia Z5 Premium at its dedicated press conference at IFA trade show in Berlin. The Z5 Premium carries the same design language as that of the Z5, but has a superior 4K display on board.

Sony has announced the Xperia Z5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at the IFA 2015. It has the same 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos display and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor, similar to the Xperia Z3+ or Xperia Z4. It runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. It also comes in Dual SIM variant as Xperia Z5 Dual depending on the market.
IFA is one of the most popular events in the mobile industry and the show has kick started today. IFA used to be Samsung’s home to introduce its new Note flagship, but the company has done that ahead of schedule this year.

Huawei has announced Mate S, the company’s latest smartphone in the Mate series at the IFA, as expected. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, is powered by a Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 935 SoC based on big.LITTLE configuration and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. Acer has unveiled Predator 8 GT-810 Android gaming tablet at IFA 2015. The aluminum-shelled tablet has an 8-inch FHD display (1920 x 1200) and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Asus has announced VivoStick PC, a PC stick running full Windows 10 at the IFA 2015 in Berlin. This tiny dongle will transform your TV or monitor with a HDMI port to a full-fledged PC, similar to the Intel Compute Stick. It is powered by a Intel’s 14nm Cherry Trail platform, has 2GB of DDR3L RAM and 32 GB of storage, but it lacks an microSD expansion slot, which is a big disadvantage since Windows 10 itself takes half of the storage. Oppo has launched Oppo R7 Lite and Oppo R7 Plus, new smartphones in the R series today in India. The Oppo R7 Lite has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display, while the Oppo R7 Plus features a 6-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display. Acer has announced its new budget Liquid series of smartphones – Liquid Z330, Z320, M330 and M320 at the IFA 2015. All these share similar specifications that includes a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Z series run Android Lollipop 5.1 and the M series run Windows 10 Mobile. The Liquid Z330 and M330 have 4G support, while the Z320 and the M320 have 3G connectivity. Acer has announced the Jade Primo smartphone which the company claims is a “pocket PC”. The phone will come equipped with Windows 10 software, and is said to be one of the first phones to use Microsoft’s Continuum for Phone software that enables seamless transition from mobile to desktop modes.
Acer has announced its first convertible Chromebook at IFA 2015. Dubbed as Chromebook R11, it has a 11.6-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and comes with a 360-degree hinge design that can be folded backward or forward.
