Gionee has launched CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L LTE smartphone and has announced P4S and P6 smartphones. The Gionee CTRL V6L has a 5-inch HD screen, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Pioneer P5L has a 4.7-inch FWVGA screen, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Swipe Technologies has launched the Swipe Ultimate, the company’s first Windows 8.1 tablet. It has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS screen and is powered by an quad-core Intel Atom Z3735 processor. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a magnetic keyboard that has a touchpad so that it can double up as a laptop.

We had seen USB OTG drives for Android phones with a micro USB on one side and a standard USB connector on the other side to transfer files from PCs or laptops to supported Android smartphones and tablets. SanDisk has introduced iXpand Flash Drive, a OTG drive for Apple iPhone and iPad. PQI released a similar OTG stick called Gmobi iStick earlier this year. Asus has launched Transformer Pad TF103 and Transformer Book T200 tablets in India. The Asus Transformer Pad TF103 is an Android tablet running Android 4.4 (KitKat) and the Transformer Book T200 is a portable Windows 8.1 tablet with a 11.6-inch screen that transforms into a laptop with a full-size keyboard dock. Asus also launched the Transformer Flip Book, a 15.6” laptop with 360-degree rotating touchscreen. BlackBerry has started taking pre-order for the BlackBerry Classic, the company’s latest top-end smartphone with a physical QWERTY keyboard. It is the successor of the BlackBerry Q10 that was launched last year. The Classic was originally announced as BlackBerry Q20 back in February and it was expected to launch this month. NVIDIA already announced that the Shield Tablet would be updated to Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Earlier this month the company announced that the update would be available as early as this November and also released a teaser video. CPU-Z was released for Android back in June last year. Since then the app has been updated with new features and support for SoCs from several manufacturers. Few months back the app got improved support for Intel SoCs, option to view OpenGL ES version. Now the app has been updated to version 1.09 that brings improved support for processors based on big.LITTLE technology, adds new HiSilicon Kirin 920, Exynos 5433, Snapdragon 815 (could be upcoming chip) and SoCs, shows Adreno GPU clock speed and more.
Kingston has introduced 128GB Class 10 UHS-I microSD for smartphone and tablets and 256GB Class 10 UHS-I SDHC/SDXC cards for cameras. Nokia Networks has announced that it has grabbed a 3G contract from Bharti Airtel that includes India-first dual band, dual carrier 3G network implementation, refarming 900 MHz to complement Mumbai’s existing 3G network on 2100 MHz. This would enable advanced radio platform and services, thus improved 3G services for Bharti Airtel’s customers in Mumbai, West Bengal and Bihar telecom circles, said the company.
