Apple Music is joining hands with A R Rahman to set up two Music Labs in India. The Music Labs will be set up at KM Music Conservatories (KMMC) based in Chennai and Mumbai. The KM Music Conservatory was founded by A.R. Rahman to teach and strengthen the art of Indian music. The institution also offers an education in Western music and music technology.

Ola raises $1.1 billion from Tencent and Softbank

Google Duo gets deeper integration with Pixel’s dialer, contacts and message apps

Google’s Duo and Allo apps have received several updates this year with new features and improvement. In June, the video calling app was integrated to Allo allowing users to make a Duo call right inside from Allo chat app. Now, Google is looking forward to integrate Duo into the dialer, SMS, and contacts applications.

Jio Payments Bank tipped to launch in December 2017

Jio Payments Bank is likely to start its operations in December this year. It is a a joint venture between Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and SBI. The Jio Payments Bank will join the likes of Payments bank from Airtel, Paytm, India Post, and Fino Payments Bank. Reliance Jio had secured a payments bank licence from the RBI back in March when it reached the 100 million customer mark. Project Loon to deploy balloons to Puerto Rico to restore cell service

Alphabet, Google’s parent company has received permission from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) to deploy Project Loon balloons over Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands for up to six months. Project Loon is Alphabet X innovation lab’s initiative where it beams high-speed WiFi internet via balloons down.
