Lenovo Vibe K5 with Snapdragon 415 and K5 Plus with 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 616 announced

Lenovo Vibe K5

Lenovo has announced Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The K5 Plus has a  5-inch 1080p display and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 616 processor, so it is the international variant of the Lemon 3 that was introduced in China last month. The Vibe K5 has a 5-inch HD screen and is powered by a Octa-Core Snapdragon 415 processor. Both these run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Lenovo’s own UI on top, have a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Huawei Watch delayed till September or October

The Huawei Watch was announced in Barcelona during MWC in March this year and so far hasn’t made its way to markets yet. Apparently the release of the smartwatch has been delayed further till around September or even October.

Microsoft Lumia 640 : First Impressions

Microsoft announced the Lumia 640 and the 640 XL last month at MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, Spain. The two devices are very similar to one another and the primary difference is the size. The 640 XL does also pack a few extra features and a bit more battery power as compared to the 640. Regardless of their differences, both the devices are aimed to bring the Windows platform to the masses especially in India where phones between the price of 10-18,000 rupees have been gaining a lot of sales quite recently. We have both the devices in our office and will be bringing you the reviews shortly. For now, lets take a look at the Lumia 640 and see what our first impressions are.

MWC: A week with Vodafone Eurotraveller

Just over a week ago we were in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress 2015 and, as I have done for many years now, I used my Vodafone SIM card with EuroTraveller to provide me data whilst on the ground. It’s been a year since we were last in MWC and in that time, Vodafone have introduced 4G Roaming in Spain alongside double speed 4G across their European network.

Traditionally Barcelona has really poor mobile data speeds (whether using a local SIM or roaming) during the MWC week as 90,000+ people descend upon the city for the annual conference. Ahead of the trip, I expected the traditional data coverage and speeds issues with previous years suggesting large ping times, really slow speeds and overall, a lack of reliable data. Samsung Galaxy S6 vs Galaxy S6 Edge vs Apple iPhone 6 Hands On

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones at the MWC 2015 earlier this week. The design of the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge are completely different from earlier flagship smartphones in the Galaxy S series. The port placements on the bottom and the curved corners in the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge are similar to the Apple iPhone 6, so we decided to quickly compare both the smartphones. Asus Zenfone Zoom Photo Gallery

Asus unveiled the Zenfone Zoom, the company’s first camera-centric smartphone in the Zenfone series with 3X optical zoom at the CES 2015 last month.
