Paytm Payments bank has finally gone live in India making it the third payments bank in the country, after Airtel and India Post. The first physical branch of Paytm Payments Bank will go live in Noida today. Initially, the service will be available on an invite-only basis. In the first phase, Paytm Payments bank will roll out the beta version of the banking app for its employees and associates. Nubia has sent out invites for the announcement of a new flagship smartphone that is expected to be Nubia Z17. Last year in December, Paytm announced that it will merge its digital wallet business with Payments Bank. The Vijay Shekhar led company received RBI’s approval to launch the payment bank in January. Now, Paytm has announced that it is all set to launch Payments Bank on May 23. Renu Satti will be the CEO of Paytm Payments Bank.
