Last year’s Redmi Note 3 turned out to be one of the most popular smartphones in the sub Rs. 15,000 segment and deservedly so. Between good specifications and even better pricing, the phone received praises from the critics and customers both. So when Xiaomi sent over the Redmi Note 4 over review, we were obviously very excited. Having spent the last few weeks with the phone, here’s what we think of the Redmi Note 4. Xiaomi has finally launched its Redmi Note 4 smartphone in India, as it had promised. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, similar to the Redmi Note 3, but this is powered by a an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 SoC, instead of Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 processor on the Redmi Note 3. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with MIUI 8 top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone  LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Netflix reports $2.35B in revenue, adds 7 million new subscribers in Q4 2016

Netflix has recorded $2.48 billion revenue in Q4 2016, up 41% YoY. The US based streaming service added 7.05 million subscribers of which 1.93 million members were from the U.S. and 5.12 million internationally. Google acquires Twitter’s mobile developer platform Fabric

Google has acquired Fabric mobile developer platform from Twitter. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. As a result of the acquisition, Fabric our team will join Google’s Developer Products Group, working with the Firebase team.

OnePlus released the OxygenOS 4.0 update based on Android 7.0 (Nougat) last month for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. Nokia P1 with 5.3-inch 1080p IGZO display, Snapdragon 835, 6GB RAM surfaces

Soon after Qualcomm said that the rumored Nokia 8 phone that surfaced last week is just a prototype, details about Nokia P1 has surfaced from Russia. According to a new report, the upcoming top-end Nokia P1 smartphone will be based on Sharp AQUOS Xx3 that was introduced last year and will feature a similar 5.3-inch 1080p IGZO display, however this will come with a Snapdragon 835 SoC and 6GB of RAM instead of Snapdragon 820 SoC and 3GB of RAM on the Sharp phone.
