Amazon has updated its Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 tablet. It has a that same 8.9-inch ( 2560 x 1600 pixels) display, but now it is powered by a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, instead of Snapdragon 800 on last year’s Fire HDX 8.9. It runs on the new Fire OS 4.0 Sangria based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with 5P f/2.2 lens and a front-facing 720p HD camera. Amazon has introduced the Fire HD 6 and has also upgraded last year’s Fire HD with a faster processor. The Fire HD 6 and H7 have 6-inch and 7-inch 1280 x 800 pixel displays, faster 1.5 GHz quad-core processors, 2MP rear and a VGA front-facing camera. These run on Fire OS 4 Sangria based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Both these have 1GB of RAM and come in 8GB and 16GB variants. These don’t have LTE support. Reports and leaks about the HTC Nexus 9 have been looming the online world for a long time now. Today, NVIDIA may have inadvertently revealed and confirmed the existence of the Nexus 9 tablet.
