ZeptoLab, the creators of popular game Cut the Rope has launched the Cut the Rope: Time Travel a new game in the Cut the Rope series. In this game Om Nom stumbles upon a time travel machine and is using it to go back in time and discover his roots, teaming up with his candy-chomping kin along the way. Cut the Rope was first launched in October 2010, Cut the Rope Experiments was launched for iPhone  and iPad on August 2011, which was released on Android last March. Evernote has updated the Skitch app for iPhone and iPad to version 2.5 that brings lot of new features including PDF support that lets you add annotations to PDF files. This is a premium feature, but it is available as a free trail for all the users for 30 days. This update also brings option to add stamps to make an visual impression on anything. You can place a stamp on an image to quickly indicate that you like something, hate it, or need a deeper explanation. You can also add text to these stamps. Sony has started rolling out the the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Xperia Tablet S. The Xperia Tablet S was announced in August 2012 running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Yahoo! has launched new apps today. Yahoo! Weather is a new app for iPhone that lets you view weather information and forecasts along with photos that match your location. It also has Interactive radar, satellite, heat, and wind maps. The Yahoo! Mail app has been updated to support iPad and Android tablets. The Yahoo! Mail app for iPhone was launched back in December 2012 along with an update for the Android app. The new tablet support for Mail apps adds new layout,  Full screen Reading mode and advanced options for message actions. Twitter launches Twitter #music app for iPhone

Twitter has launched the Twitter #music service and the iPhone app that offers music from iTunes, Spotify or Rdio. This service uses Twitter activity, including Tweets and engagement, to detect and surface the most popular tracks and emerging artists. Outlook app for Android updated with new UI and features

Microsoft has updated the Outlook.com application for Android with a completely new user interface and lot of new features. This is a major update since the launch of the app back in November 2012. The new update bring a simple user interface similar to the Windows 8 and the outlook.com web application. Additionally this update also adds new features including conversation threading, filters for unread and flagged mail, as well as the ability to mark messages as junk. Amazon Android App Store coming to 200 countries including India

Amazon has announced that they would expand their App Store for Android to more than 200 countries including India, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Papua New Guinea, Vatican City and more. Amazon is asking the international developers to submit their apps through the Amazon Mobile App Distribution Portal, and these apps would be available when the Amazon App Store for Android launches internationally. The Amazon app store for Android was first launched in the U.S back in 2011. The Android app was updated to support ICS devices back in January 2012. Facebook for iPhone and iPad received the major update to version 6.0. This update brings Chat Heads feature for Messaging that was available for Facebook Messenger for Android last week. You can’t use chat heads outside the Facebook application like Android, but you can use it when you’re doing other stuff on Facebook, like checking your News Feed. This update also brings option to add large stickers to Facebook  messages, instead of smileys. Facebook is also rolling out improved News Feed design that was announced last month. Basemark X Benchmark Performance on Android devices

Rightware launched the Basemark X, a cross-platform benchmarking tool for Android, iPhone and iPad last week. While the iOS app is still waiting for the approval in the Apple iTunes Store, the Android application is out now. The Basemark X is built on gaming engine Unity 4, which is used in hundreds of mobile games. We managed to run the Basemark 1.0 on several high-end quad-core Android smartphones. Check out the Basemark X 1.0 Game Graphics Performance Test results below.
