LINE Corporation has launched LINE Maps for Indoor for Android. This lets users find location in complicated indoor areas, such as department stores, shopping malls and more places. This app initially offers indoor maps of 37 facilities in the Tokyo, Japan and is available in five languages that includes, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), English, Japanese and Korean. Gionee has released the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for its Elife E3 smartphone in India. Along with the Android 4.4′s features such as wireless printing, support for emojis and more, this update brings a new homescreen layout, Touchpal, Kingsoft Office and more, similar to other smartphones. It has also added nine Indian languages. Gionee released KitKat update for its M2 smartphone back in September. HERE Maps Beta gets Android 5.0 Lollipop support, bug fixes and improvements

HERE Maps for Android was launched as beta last month. The app has been updated to version 1.0.220 that brings support for Android 5.0 (Lollipop). This update also brings fixes to downloaded voice files that will not be cleared if the phone’s cache is wiped using a cleaner, as it promised. Today Google has updated the Google Camera app to version 2.4.023 on the Play Store that brings the same material design elements to the app. This update also brings compatibility with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) that would roll out for Nexus devices in coming weeks and includes some improvements and bug fixes. Today the company has announced that it would offer 39 paid Android apps and games worth over $115 for free on the Amazon AppStore starting Thursday, 30th October to Saturday, 1st November 2014. Last month the company offered 27 apps worth $135 for free . This time it offers some interesting apps like, Endomondo Sports Tracker PRO, Plex and games like Fruit Ninja, World of Goo, Plants vs. Zombies, Sonic Hedgehog 4 Episode I and more. Rovio, creators of popular Angry Birds game has launched Angry Birds Transformers for Android, couple of after it was launched for iOS, as it promised. This has a different gameplay, compared to other Angry Birds themed games. It has Autobirds, brave band of heroes that features Red as Optimus Prime, Chuck as Bumblebee and more. These have lasers and turn into cars. The Autobirds can’t save Piggy Island on their own – to stop the EggBots they’ll need to join forces with their arch rivals the Deceptihogs. Developers of Truecaller Caller ID app has launched Truedialer, a smart dialer app for Android. It was launched for Windows Phone 8 few months back, it recently got updated with real-time Caller ID features for Windows Phone 8.1 users. PCMark benchmark released for Android

PCMark for Android

Futuremark has released PCMark benchmarking tool for Android. It has Work benchmark that lets you measure both performance and battery life. It also shows you how your device’s CPU clock frequency, CPU average usage, temperature and battery charge level changed while the benchmark was running.  The app is 23 MB, and the Work benchmark is a 400 MB download, installed when you first run the app. More benchmarks will be added over time, says the company.
