Xiaomi catches up with Samsung to become India’s top smartphone vendor in Q3 2017: IDC

A total of 39 million smartphones were shipped to India in Q3 2017, which is a new record with substantial 40% Quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) growth and a healthy 21% Year-on-year (YoY) growth, according to the latest International Data Corporation’s (IDC) Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. India smartphone shipments accounted for 10% of the global smartphone shipments for the first time ever in a quarter. Xiaomi already said that it has shipped 9.2 million phones in the quarter, now IDC reveals that it has 23.5% market share for the quarter, same as Samsung.

During festive sales it offered discount on the router, now it has announced a Rs.200 temporary price cut for it, so you can get it for Rs. 999 across Mi.com, Flipkart and Amazon.in. This limited period price cut is only till November 16th, Wednesday.

Xiaomi shipped record 9.2 million smartphones in Q3 2017 in India

Xiaomi India today announced that it has shipped over 9.2 million smartphones in the country in the third quarter of 2017 for the first time. It shipped 100,000 smartphones per quarter in 2014, crossed the 1 million mark in Q3 2015, 3 million in Q3  2017, and now is has cross 9 million units for the first time in Q3 2017, said Manu Jain, Group Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India . OPPO F3 Plus 6GB RAM version launched in India for Rs. 22990

OPPO launched the F3 Plus selfie-focused smartphone in India earlier this year. Now it has launched the 6GB RAM version of the phone in the country, compared to 4GB RAM in the original version. Other specifications are the same, including a  16-megapixel front-facing camera  with 1/3.1-inch sensor and f/2.0 aperture along with an 8-megapixel secondary front camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens for capturing better group selfies and a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and dual phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) technology.

Motorola India has finally launched the Moto X4 smartphone in India, as it had promised. It  was unveiled IFA event recently and packs dual 12MP and 8MP rear cameras to take images with blurred background, portraits, selective black and white and has dual Autofocus Pixel technology for faster focus in low light. It packs a 5.2-inch 1080p screen, is powered by Snapdragon 630 and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat). It has a 16MP front camera with a new 4MP adaptive low light mode.
