Apple third-party USB charger trade-in program to start in India this month

Apple announced a take back program for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch USB power Adapters earlier this month since there were reports of safety issues with the counterfeit and third party adapters. The program started on 16th August in several countries, now BGR.in has reported that Apple India has confirmed them that the program will begin in India too, later this month. Some Apple premium retailers in Delhi are yet to confirm such offers since they might waiting for some formalities and the parts to ship, says the report. TomTom Navigation with fully offline maps arrives for Android in India

TomTom is a well known navigation solutions provider and can be spotted in most automobiles fitted with a navigation system, be it cars or even public transport. It is also widely known that mobile phones have made specialized navigation devices a bit redundant by offering excellent capabilities for everyone that owns a smartphone. TomTom has previously released its navigation apps on all mobile platforms, but they have seen a staged roll out in terms of countries, and now it is finally available for India’s Android devices.

S Mobility has launched two new affordable devices, the Smart Flo Space (Mi-354) and the Stellar Glamour (Mi-436). The entry-level Smart Flo Space has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor , while the Stellar Glamour comes with a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor . Google Mobile Search for Android gets support for Hindi Handwrite input

Google has a introduced a new feature in Google Search for Android, where users will be able to write on their screen in India’s most common language – Hindi. Handwrite has been an option that has been there for quite sometime now, but Hindi was not an option until now. Handwrite enables users to Google search by handwriting on the screen instead of using the on-screen keyboard. There are lot of 5-inch HD devices in the Indian market, but the iBall Andi 4.7G Cobalt has a 4.7-inch HD display. It was launched last month at an MRP of Rs. 19995 and currently sells at a price tag of Rs. 17,990. Here we have the device. A 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels means it has a pixel density of 312 PPI, better than its competitors. Apart from the display other things are similar to most of the other smartphones in the similar range such as 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589 processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It a 12-megapixel auto focus rear camera with dual LED Flash and large 5-mgepixel front-facing auto focus camera. The box is huge as you can see in the unboxing video below.

Micromax A111 Canvas Doodle Benchmarks

Micromax launched the A111 Canvas Doodle back in May. It has a 5.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8625Q processor with Adreno 203 GPU similar to the Karbonn S5 Titanium and the Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro, but this one has 512MB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and also comes with a free Stylus pen. We brought you the unboxing of the device last week, here we have the benchmarks of the device.

Nokia Lumia 625 up for online pre-order in India for Rs. 19499

The Nokia Lumia 925 went on sale in India from the official Nokia Store last week. Now the Lumia 625 is available for pre-order from online retailer Flipkart in India. The Lumia 625 was unveiled last month and packs a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) LCD display, which is the largest screen on a Lumia phone till date. The display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protectiont and Super Sensitive Touch. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8930 processor and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS with the latest Amber update. Vodafone has announced Vodafone Drive into the Big League contest for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This is the third season of the contest for the third Indian Grand Prix that would be held in Delhi from October 25 to 27, 2013. This would offer an opportunity for small and medium enterprises to take center stage with their logo on Vodafone McLaren Mercedes racing cars. Vodafone says they had overwhelming response for the second season in which Sequel Logistics Private Limited won and had its logo on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes cars during Indian Grand Prix 2012. Intex has launched two new phones in the Cloud series, the Intex Cloud X4 and the Cloud Y2. The Cloud X4 is the successor of the Cloud X3 that was launched last month. Most the specifications are similar to the Cloud X3 including a 3.5-inch display and a 1 GHz dual-core processor, but this has a 3.2-megapixel rear camera instead of the 2MP camera. It also comes with a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. The Cloud Y2 packs a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these phones runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS and has 3G support.
