Motorola India recently partnered with Airtel to offer free data for Moto E, Moto G (2nd Gen) and Moto X (2nd Gen) users. Airtel pre-paid users get free data for two months, while post-paid users get bill discounts per month for 2 months on subscription of 3G and 2G data packs. This offer is available for both existing and new Motorola smartphone users, but it can be activated only once on an IMEI. BlackBerry launched the BlackBerry Classic smartphone with full QWERTY physical keyboard back in December last year. Now it has launched a camera-less version of the smartphone for Verizon Wireless in the U.S. This lacks both the 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera and LED Flash and the 2-megapixel front facing camera. This non-camera model will help people in enterprise businesses use the BlackBerry Classic, since some companies restricts smartphones with a camera and also encourage BYOD culture. Pan-India Mobile Number Portability will be available from May 3

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had released recommendations for Pan-India Mobile Number Portability (MNP) back in September 2013. At that time it said that it would recommend 6 months for the operators to roll out full MNP across the country. Later on 3rd November it had issued amendment to implement Full MNP in the country in 6 months from the date of amendment, i.e 3rd May. Today it has made some changes to it and issued a 6th amendment to the Telecommunication Mobile Number Portability Regulations, 2009. It will invest over Rs 1200 crores in next 3 years for 4G roll out in the cities across these 3 circles. It holds 5Mhz liberalized spectrum in the 1800 Mhz band in the circles. Idea Cellular has launched a new Easy Share prepaid plan that comes with internet, Local & National Minutes and SMS benefits. This plan lets users transfer internet packs, minutes and SMS to their friends and families, through a simple process of USSD or from Idea website. It start from Rs. 158 and goes till Rs. 958 depending on the plan. Last year it launched Easy Share postpaid plan in some markets, due to its success this has extended to the large base of prepaid users now, says the company.
