AT&T has announced that it will be the first company in the US to offer the mobile 5G device over a commercial, standards-based mobile 5G network. Inseego Corp and Verizon demonstrated Virtual Reality Telemedicine over 5G at Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit. Both the companies have conducted a live virtual reality telemedicine demonstration in partnership with Columbia University using an Inseego mobile hotspot device that is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and Snapdragon X50 5G modem and antenna modules with integrated RF transceiver, RF front-end, and antenna elements, running on Verizon’s 5G NR mobile network. Samsung, Qualcomm, and Verizon have announced a successful 5G New Radio (NR) data connection using 400MHz of bandwidth in the 28GHz spectrum, resulting in maximum throughput of more than 1.7 Gbps. The data connection demonstrated the delivery of multi-gigabit 5G speeds to a smartphone form-factor mobile test device. Apple’s latest iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR support Dual SIM cards worldwide since they have a primary nano SIM and secondary eSIM support working with carriers. Apple also announced that Airtel and Reliance Jio will support eSIM in India, and more partneres will be added next year. As promised it rolled out iOS 12.1 update few hours back that brought support for Dual SIM and eSIM functionality.
OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 6T smartphone at an event in New York few hours back starting at $549. At the event the company said that the phone will be available with T-Mobile exclusively in the U.S. apart from OnePlus.com. T-Mobile is offering the phone with $24.17/month x 24 contract so the total price before credits comes to $580.
