Jio launches Rs. 251 ‘Work From Home’ prepaid pack; offers double data on JioFiber plans

People are working from home due to the outbreak of Coronavirus and during this period, the consumption of data will be more than usual. Mobile operators and internet service providers are offering more data and speed as a result of this and on similar lines, recently, ACT Fibernet offered a free upgrade to 300Mbps speed and Unlimited FUP till March 31st. Now, Reliance Jio has also announced a prepaid ‘Work From Home’ plan and is offering double data for existing Jio Fiber users.

Reliance Jio pre-paid 4G data add-on packs now offer 2x more data, off-net IUC minutes at same cost

Back in 2018 Reliance Jio launched affordable data add-ons at Rs. 11, Rs. 21, Rs. 51 and Rs. 101 with 400MB, 1GB data, 3GB and 6GB data, respectively. HMD Global rolls out VoWiFi for range of Nokia smartphones — Here’s how to enable it

Reliance Jio reports Rs. 1350 crore profit in FY Q3 2019-20, crosses 370 million subscribers

Reliance Jio has reported Rs. 13,968 crore revenue, up 6.4% QoQ and 28.3% YoY and a net profit of 1,350 crore, up 62.5% YoY for last quarter that ended 31st December, 2019. Jio reported Standalone earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 5,601 crore, up 8.4% QoQ, EBITDA margin of 40.1%, and Standalone earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of 3,805 crore, up 12.2% QoQ . Consolidated value of services stood at 16,466 crore, up 6.4% over trailing quarter. It has 370 million subscribers as of 31st December, with net addition of 14.8 million during 3QFY20. Reliance Jio has announced the launch of nation-wide Voice and Video over Wi-Fi calling service. Jio said that it has been testing this service over the past few months, to provide a robust experience to every customer at launch. This lets customers can use any Wi-Fi network for Jio, the voice and video calls will seamlessly switch-over between VoLTE and Wi.Fi to provide an enhanced voice/video-calling experience,  Jio Wi-Fi calling works on over 150 handset models and Jio customers can also make Video over Wi•Fi calls. Reliance Jio starts rolling out VoWiFi service in Delhi and Chennai

Recently, Airtel started testing WiFi Calling (VoWiFi) in several cities in India and later officially launched the service. Following Airtel’s launch, Reliance Jio has now started rolling out WiFi Calling facility in Chennai and Delhi-NCR. This comes after the testing began in Delhi recently. The company is yet to launch the VoWiFi services in the country officially.

After Airtel and Vodafone Idea, Reliance Jio introduced its New All-in-one plans‘ with revised pricing along with JioPrime benefits, but it started with Rs. 199 offering  1.5 GB/day, 1000 off-net mins and 28 days validity. Now it has brought back Rs. 149 plan, which now offers 1GB / day, 300 off-net mins and 24 days validity. Previously the plan offered 1.5 GB/day data and 28 days validity with unlimited calling to any network.
