Airtel 4G Tariffs 6GB for Rs.999 , 16GB for Rs.1999

As the Airtel 4G website went live few hours ago , the tariffs have also appeared on the site. The plans start from Rs.999 for 6GB of data and the top-end plan is Rs.1999 for 18GB of data. There is also a plan for Rs.1399 which gives you 9GB of free usage.  Initially , these plans will be available only over USB modems and will be available on both Prepaid and Postpaid. After you cross the free data quota , your speed will be throttled to 128 Kbps as per Fair Usage Policy.

Airtel 4G Website goes live before launch , coming to Kolkata first

When Airtel was telling us about 4G launch plans , you might have thought they were kidding as we are still getting used to 3G. But the Airtel 4G website just went live. The 4G LTE networks promises speeds up to 40Mbps. The network uses 4G LTE-TDD technology which supports speeds up to 100 Mbps.Initially access will be based on a 4G USB Modem and then a 4G LTE Indoor Wireless Gateway option would be available. Tariffs look attractive for most users but not for heavy downloaders with plans starting at Rs.999 per month for 6GB and Rs.1999 for 18GB. According to the website the plans will be available both on prepaid and postpaid. You will need a new number for airtel 4G LTE which will be using an USIM module.

Airtel to launch 4G services in Kolkata this month, appoints ZTE to manage the network


Bharti Airtel is all set to launch 4G services in India later this month in Kolkata. Bharti Airtel’s CEO Sanjay Kapoor confirmed it in GSMA event in New Delhi. It would also be the first operator in the country to launch 4G services. It is based on 4G LTE-TDD technology that would offer speeds up to 100 Mbps. Airtel offers full Talktime on Rs. 200, 300, 500 and 1000 via online Easy Recharge

Airtel has launched new Fulltalk time offers at Rs.200, Rs. 300, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000. These packs were already available on online Easy Recharge since the launch, but now these packs come with Fulltalk time without any validity. Airtel has partnered with Bridge Alliance to offer unlimited data roaming in 11 countries in Asia Pacific region at Rs 500 (approximately US$10 excluding taxes) a day. This Bridge DataRoam Unlimited plan is valid for one day and is available for Airtel postpaid mobile customers. Airtel offers Double data on GPRS packs in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh


Airtel has doubled the data benefits on its GPRS packs for its pre-paid customers in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. These packs range from Rs 12 to Rs 98 that would offer double data. Rs 149 will continue to offer 4GB of data including 2GB of night data (11 PM to 6AM) and 200 MB of Facebook data. Airtel has expanded its Airtel Money, Mobile Payment Service that is now available in 300+ key cities across India. This enables the Airtel Money users load cash on their mobile devices and spend it to pay utility bills and recharges, shop at 7,000+ merchant outlets, transact online etc. They launched the Airtel Money services last year starting with Delhi NCR and expanded it to Chennai in May 2011. Nokia, Airtel still rank as top trusted brands in India

Nokia has been voted as India’s Most Trusted Brand again and retains their first position from the last year according to a recent survey conducted by research firm Trust Research Advisory (TRA). In the telecom sector, Airtel leads by retaining the same 9th spot as last year. The Brand Trust Report, India Study, 2012 (BTR 2012) has listed India’s 1000 Most Trusted Brands and this research was conducted among 2718 ‘influencer’ respondents across 15 cities.
