Sony recently scheduled an event on September 7th in New York to introduce a new PlayStation console with faster processor, improved graphics and 4K support. This is said to be called the PlayStation 4 Neo. Now images of a new slim PlayStation console has surfaced in an online auction that is said to be called the PlayStation 4 slim. According to WSJ, this will be unveiled along with the PS4 Neo next month.

Sony today launched two power banks in India that can charge multi- devices at the same time, with a maximum fast- charging output.

Sony has announced at its IR Day 2016 in Japan that it will defocus in several markets including China, India, US and Brazil where it expects its smartphone businesses to shrink. One of the main reasons is that it expects FY15-17 CAGR smartphone growth in India, China, Brazil, Indonesia to be just 0.3%, instead of increase in 8.1% that was estimated last year.

Following the end of the Sony Ericsson brand, Sony took a hiatus of almost a year before entering the market again under a solo name. Sony went all out with the Xperia Z and brought about a fresh new design language and high end specifications. Although waterproof smartphones were a common sight in the east in Japan, there were less than a handful of phones that featured waterproof abilities worldwide and almost none of them were made for the masses.
