OPPO said to have hired MediaTek and UNISOC engineers for its own chip
Rumors about OPPO making their own processors for their own smartphones surfaced recently. Now a new report says that the company has hired Jeffery Ju, MediaTek’s former co-chief operating officer and is about to hire a top executive from MediaTek’s 5G smartphone chip development in a couple of months. OPPO is also planning to hire executives from Qualcomm as well as HUAWEI’s HiSilicon unit, adds the report.

OPPO Find X2 12GB RAM, 256GB storage variant listed on Amazon India ahead of launch; price hinted
Last week, OPPO teased the launch of its flagship Find X2 Series in India soon. The launch date hasn’t been revealed yet, but prior to the launch, Amazon India has listed a variant of the OPPO Find X2 and the possible price in India has also been hinted.

OPPO is all set to introduce A92s, the company’s upcoming mid-range 5G phone in China, as it has been certified by TENAA. It reveals a 6.57-inch FHD+ LCD screen, which is said to come with 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole screen houses a 16MP camera as well as a 2MP depth sensor, 2GHz Octa-Core SoC, which according to Geekbench is MediaTek Dimensity 800 7nm SoC that was introduced earlier this year, but this is contradictory since the chip only supports up to 90Hz refresh rate, according to the official site. OPPO Ace2 5G with 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 865, up to 12GB RAM announced
OPPO just announced Ace2, the company’s latest 5G smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.7% screen-to-body ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, is powered by Snapdragon 865 with up to 12GB of RAM, comes with 4D cooling that includes carbon fiber and vapor cooling chamber. It runs Android 10 with ColorOS 7.1 on top.
OPPO Reno 3 Pro Review — An Underrated Conundrum
To say the OPPO Reno 3 Pro is underrated would be an understatement. Because, spoiler alert – I really like this device, but at the same time, it is, by virtue of its pricing, an overpriced smartphone in a hyper-competitive market that has been seeing price wars in all segments. How can such a device, which is both underrated and overpriced, exist? Yet it does and it adds only to the confusion. However, to make purchasing decisions slightly easier, we have things like a dual punch hole 44MP selfie camera, making it a device for selfie lovers, a familiar yet striking design, making it a safe option for OPPO users and for everyone else and even new buyers, specifications that tick all the right boxes. Great. Yet the conundrum remains. Why is the Reno 3 Pro priced this way? And as always, is the device really worth the price it demands? Who is it really for? OPPO Air VOOC 40W wireless charger gets certified by the WPC, could be introduced along with Ace2
Last year OPPO joined the Wireless Power Consortium, a group of companies for developing and promoting the Qi wireless charging standard. Now a new OPPO Wireless Charger (OAWV01) has been certified by the WPC. This reveals that it will be a 40W charger and has the Qi version number v1.2.4. It shows a white with gray finish, a button in silver finish, place to keep the phone and a LED notification light in white that is hardly visible.
