Microsoft has updated its Hyperlapse app for Android that finally gets option to save the recorded videos to microSD card on compatible devices. It also gets option to save 1080p videos in compatible devices. Both these features can be enabled from the settings. If you can’t enable, then the feature is not available for your device.
Microsoft today announced Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection for enterprise customers to detect, investigate, and respond to advanced attacks on their networks. Microsoft has officially confirmed that it is shutting down Project Astoria tool that allowed developers to port their existing Android apps to Windows 10 easily. The company had announced its plans to launch tools for developers to quickly port Android and iOS apps to Windows 10 earlier this April.
Microsoft has acquired Xamarin which creates software tools for making mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows platforms. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Microsoft has pushed out new updates for both the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 devices that includes Microsoft and Intel driver and firmware updates. This update fixes power management issues that caused these devices not to go to sleep when idle or consume more power during sleep. The update also fixes several Intel driver issues for these devices.
Skype for iOS has been updated with a couple of new feature and improvements. The service will now add native support for Microsoft Office documents which means that users can now open, view, and respond to files in the middle of online conversations on Skype.

Microsoft has partnered with Acer to pre-load productivity apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype on select Android smartphones and tablets from Acer. The company said that it will start the pre-installing the apps from second half of 2016.
