Huawei’s Honor brand today announced that it will unveil Honor V9, successor of last year’s Honor V8 at an event in Beijing on February 21st. It got certified by TENAA recently that confirms most of the specifications, including a 5.7-inch Quad HD screen, 12-megapixel dual rear cameras and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera similar to the Honor V8, but this is expected to powered by Kirin 960 SoC and pack 6GB of RAM. Huawei’s Honor brand launched the Honor 6X smartphone last month in India starting at Rs. 12,999. The 3GB RAM version of the smartphone went on sale exclusively on Amazon.in in the first flash sale last Thursday, February 2nd, which went out of stock in a matter of minutes, according to the company. Today in the second sale Honor said that the 4GB RAM version will also be available for purchase in addition to 3GB RAM variant starting at 2PM. Huawei Honor brand today introduced Honor 8 Lite, a cheaper version of last year’s flagship Honor 8 smartphone in Finland. The main difference is that this has a 12-megapixel single rear camera instead of dual 12-megapixel rear cameras on the Honor 8. This also comes with a less powerful Kirin 655 processor, similar to the Honor 6X instead of Honor 8’s Kirin 950 SoC, but this runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.0 out of the box. First render of the Huawei’s P10 smartphone surfaced last year. Now renders of the P10 Plus, the top-end version of the smartphone has surfaced in China. This reveals a 5.5-inch Quad HD curved glass screen and possibly a iris scanner along with ring flash on the back. The fingerprint sensor is present on the back, still there is a home button below the display.
The Honor 6X is one of the very few smartphones that seems to pack in quite an impressive set of camera features and specifications. Huawei introduced the Mate 9 as its flagship smartphone in the Mate series back in November last year. It comes in standard and Porsche Design edition, we have the standard Huawei Design edition, here is the unboxing.
Up until 2016, dual cameras on smartphones only referred to the cameras on the front and the rear of the device. The Huawei P9 which was last year’s flagship from the company has a Dual Leica lens sensor system with 12 Megapixels of resolution and a Sony IMX 386 sensor in each of them. The primary sensor on the phone is an RGB one while the secondary sensor is a Monochrome one offering sharper images with stunning amounts of detail as well as dynamic range.
