Huawei’s Honor brand just introduced the Honor 7C smartphone in China today. This directly competes with the Redmi 5 that was introduced back in December last year and will launch in India this week. Both these share almost similar specifications including a 18:9 display, Snapdragon 450, up to 4GB RAM, fingerprint sensor on the back and a metal back. We decided to do a quick comparison of the specifications between the two.

It has a 5.99-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 450 with up to 4GB RAM and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 on top. Huawei today sent out invites for the announcement of Nova 3e, a new smartphone in the Nova series in China on March 20th, ahead of the announcement of P20 series, including the P20 Lite in Paris on March 27th. Last month @evleaks said that the P20 Lite will be sold in certain markets as the Nova 3e. The phone got certified in China recently with model numbers and ANE-TL00 and ANE-AL00.
After several leaks we now have the press renders of the Huawei P20, P20 Lite and P20 Pro smartphones that will be announced officially later this month, thanks to @evleaks. This also shows camera specifications of the phones and display notch for all where the earpiece, sensors and the front camera are present. The fingerprint sensor is present on the front for the P20 and the P20 Pro, but it is located on the back on the P20 Lite.

Huwei P20 Lite image and specifications surfaced last week after the phone got certified by the FCC last month, now the smartphone has been certified by TENAA in China with model numbers ANE-TL00 and ANE-AL00
confirming entire specifications of the phone as well as its notch design. This shows 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear cameras with Leica lenses and a 5.84-inch FHD+ display.
Amidst the P20 launch, Huawei is also busy prepping the Y9 (2018) as it is now spotted passing through the FCC. It comes with 18:9 aspect ratio full-screen display, quad-cameras (two dual and two front cameras), a 3900mAh battery. According to a report, the Y9 (2018) was expected to go official on March 15th. Huawei’s Honor brand today confirmed that it will introduced Honor 7C, a budget version of the Honor 7X in China on March 12th. The invite confirms 5.99-inch display, dual rear cameras, dual SIM slots and several color variants for the smartphone. The phone recently passed through TENAA with model numbers LND-TL30 and LND-TL40 that revealed the specifications. Huwei P20 smartphone surfaced online earlier this week, now the P20 Lite, the cheaper version in the series has surfaced online, thanks to @evleaks. This has a similar notch-design as the P20, but the fingerprint sensor on the front has been moved to the back. This is said to feature dual rear cameras with Leica lenses and hybrid zoom. It comes in 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch versions with WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 960 SoC and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 on top. Huawei is expected to introduce its flagship smartphones in the P20 series at separate event in March in Paris. We had seen several renders of the smartphones in recent times. Now two smartphones with model numbers EML-AL00 and EML-TL00 have been listed on TENAA in China, which could be P20.

Earlier this month several Huawei and Honor smartphones surfaced on TENAA, now Honor smartphones with LND-TL30 and LND-TL40 model numbers and Huawei smartphones with model numbers LDN-TL10 and LDN-TL20 have been certified by TENAA in China. These are said to be Honor 7C and Huawei Enjoy 8. These share similar specifications and design, feature dual rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Huawei’s Honor brand has announced that it has started rolling out a new software update to enable Face unlock feature in Honor 9 Lite smartphone in India, as it had promised. Face Unlock for the Honor View 10 was released last month.
